Try the king road killings, about the 4 college kids, murdered before Christmas in Moscow, idaho.
Scamamda is great, about a blogger who faked cancer.
Red handed can be good, different case every week so search through for anything that grabs your attention.

The always sunny podcast is hilarious. You don’t even have to have watched the show. They’re meant to discuss the episodes but they never do, they just chat shit and it’s great.

Just finished The Witness. Really good podcast, very sad at times. About a young boy in Ireland who was groomed into a life of crime. Triggering as does contain abuse but such a good listen and really eye opening.

Loved that one!

I caught up with Betrayal on Spotify. Think the wife is using it to pour salt in her wounds more than anything. And I hate how she refers to her scumbag ex-husband as “Spence” instead of Spencer. The adverts are about 3 minutes long at the start and middle but you can skip.

I like ‘Who the (bleep) did I marry?’. It’s trashy but some of the stories are shocking.

I started off with the red-handed podcast but it made me a bit uncomfortable listening to some of the stories as the girls would laugh at really inappropriate times.
I listen to seeing red now. They have a great selection of true crime, both a mixed bag of solved and unsolved cases. I find both hosts really easy to listen too and they really bring their chosen stories to life in my opinion.

The GAA catfish is something else . A story you cannot even begin to describe. Once you listen to it there's a few threads on tattle somewhere about it that make for interesting reading.

Thanks for the recommendation from dick wolf I LOVE all things law and order so will give that podcast a listen tomorrow

Mr Ballen - he tells a mixture of stories from true crime to stories which are just bizarre/dark. He is a fantastic story teller and could make a story about walking the dog captivating! Has a YouTube channel too which is 100% worth a watch.

Hello, first time starting a thread

I want to discuss podcast recommendations. I understand that tastes vary hugely, but I'm hoping to get some new loves.
I generally like true life, some true crime (can't handle some) I'm not a big celeb podcast follower.
Some of my favourites:

I loved White Wine Question Time With Kate Thornton but she has let it slide. Only one actual new podcast so far this year. The other podcast was a re-hash of past interviews, which felt like a cop out. Podcasters need to keep putting out fresh content to keep listeners coming back.

My favourite was the Fake Heiress one the BBC did. Another favourite was It Was Said, about famous speeches in history.

I am halfway through Real Dictators with the lovely soothing voice of Paul McGann. I really like that one. Next on my list is Bad Women: the Ripper Retold about the victims of Jack the Ripper.

Never watched them but know they are very upfront and funny. The podcast doesn't disappoint

Extrodinary stories by Barry Henderson. He is such a good story teller, some are true crime but aren't told in the way of normal true crime podcasts. Difficult to explain, but he is fascinating to listen to.

Anybody got any further recommendations?? Just finished S-Town. Enjoyed it. Loved Your own backyard. I enjoy celebrity memoir book club with Chelsea. Liked ‘believe in magic’/ Down the hill, and the other bear brooks one. Ideally a bit of true crime. Not fussed on the Australian ones, it’s an accent thing for me
