I don’t like Phil and Holly and but Amanda Holden is vile. Rochelle is not a good presenter imo but she’s pretty harmless.

I did enjoy it when it was Phil and Fern but since then Phil has gotten so arrogant and snooty.

I’ve lost the comment and can’t be arsed to go back and find it, but I think it’s unfair to say his wife has wasted her life with him. They’ve got 2 daughters together, I’m sure she doesn’t feel that is a waste! Also, just because he’s gay doesn’t mean they don’t love each other very much. We don’t know their personal situation, maybe she’s also been seeing other people but they’ve both been content to keep the status quo until he was ready to go public.

God, I hope none of you ever have to go through coming out. The comments here are absolutely awful. It must have been heartbreaking to realise that you're living a life you're not meant to. Also, love is more than about who you're currently kissing so I do not think that his wife has been living a "wasted life" you all need to realise what it's like for homosexual people to admit their truths. No wonder so many people stay in the closet when comments like these ones are being made.

Agreed. Plus Phillip comes from an age when it wasn't accepted and it could/would ruin your career. Now I don't think that will happen at all but just like in my head I am still the fat girl in school who was bullied mercilessly, I'm sure he still has those fears - Because they never leave you

Someone who works on This Morning posted on here or another forum that Ruth and Eamonn behind the scenes are unhappy and fight like cat and dog, but put on a facade when on air. I don't know how true this is but they do bicker often on the actual show.

Being married to Eamonn, I'm not surprised Ruth argues with him all the time off air! I dunno how she puts up with him

I hope a line is drawn under this now, he's made his statement, and spoken on TV. I know there will be a fuss made on DOI on Sunday, but, after today I hope he doesn't give any exclusives to a paper about "his story"
He's never been big on selling interviews etc to papers or Hello/OK (at least I don't think so anyway) so I hope he doesn't start now.

Er, it is quite rife, in my experience. Speaking as someone who is subjected to homophobia quite regularly.

He was certainly coming across as if he was embarrassed by all of it

I rarely see TM but do find it funny when there is a cooking segment with Phil Vickery. Quite often Philip and Holly are larking about giggling especially if someone says 'sausage' and if they cut to Phil Vickery he is incredibly stoney faced. I'd love to know what he thinks of Philip.
I don't Philip is that nice tbh - I imagine he is ruthless.

Maybe his wife has found true love and has given him the ultimatum to come out so as she can finally move on. She must of know for quite some time, at least I hope she did.

He goes on to say;
"She is amazing. She's incredible. I have never in my life, there is nobody in my life who would have supported me the way, as a wife, the way she has supported me. She's astonishing. "

That makes me think she knew all along and if not right from the very beginning, then very near to it. Saying you have NEVER had any secrets is a big statement to make. So prehaps it was a marriage of convenience that suited them both.

This is what I think. I remember Phillip back in the day on kids TV and I always thought he was gay and remember being surprised when he announced his marriage. His wife was the Production Assistant on his TV show. Maybe they did have an arrangement and it wouldn't be the first time it's happened in showbiz circles.
