I don’t get this comparing Caroline Flack to Phil Or Ant.
Phil hasn’t done anything illegal, whatever you may think of his announcement.
Ant I can understand the comparison a bit more, but he did step back from his presenting duties. He went to court for what he did and then spent time in Rehab.
Caroline hadn’t even stood trial yet and was charged with domestic abuse. Whatever the circumstances with her mental health she couldn’t continue with her presenting until it had been sorted. There would have been a big outcry if she’d been allowed to present loveisland while this was all going on.
What has happened is such a shame of course and it’s a shame she didn’t get help when she clearly needed it. I just don’t see why people are comparing it.

I agree if the cover up is that intense for Phil, the question has already been begged - what does he know implicating others. Akin to Saville he was only exposed after his death which means he was protected when he was alive... presumably because he knew too much about the establishment, I believe he alluded to these connections during the Theroux documentary. And how do you get to maintain a knighthood when his predatory behaviour was widely acknowledged?that was my angle earlier, its all too convenient the timing... and I honestly think there are much much bigger people with a lot to protect so anything is possible.

You are right that so far there hasn't been any official allegation that PS has done anything illegal, but PS is the subject of multiple complaints from the people he works with about his bullying behaviour and how it has created a toxic atmosphere. Well the great British public is turning, like the proverbial worm, against being manipulated by JG and ITVI haven’t said the shows would collapse - it is down to public perception so if “the Great British public” see Ant & Dec as one of the best things on TV then ITV will of course put the maximum tariff on advert slots during their programmes. It is the public who are driving this - just look at what happens in November when the major supermarkets launch their Christmas adverts - their first airing will always be in whatever programme is getting the highest viewer figures.
