I absolutely hear you! 100% though do you see any members of the press picking apart Schofe's looks, his outfits or who he's sleeping with? Do you see the constant barrage of shit from the tabloids that would grind someone down until they're broken? Does he have the emergency services and police force tipping off the press about his arrest that he'd openly say he'll kill himself? I don't think so.
I have made the same comparison before though and I have thought along the same lines. But these two situations are NOT the same whatsoever. There is a lot at play here, a lot of potentially dangerous situations that 'could' go all the way up to the abuse like Saville carried out on many victims. What's for certain is that Schofe used his power and position to get Matthew on side. No doubt in my mind that Simon Schofield was a pawn in that abuse of power and that he was then drawn into the hands of Schofe who then started to date him.
My theory is that Schofe grew tired of Matt getting older, didn't like that he put on weight and ended it abruptly. Then treated Matt differently at work. Leaving Ruth Langsford to fight his corner (see claims of mistreatment and bullying in the press from Nov/Dec 2019 which features Ruth speaking out against Schofe -

I won't call the guy names. I won't get personal to the point I attack him and I certainly wouldn't be unkind. Though I will continue to speculate with the evidence I have in front of me. Call me naive for doing so but if you look at everything on this forum as a collective, it soon starts to paint a not so pleasant picture. Bearing in mind a lot of historical posts on all's concerned socials have now been deleted! So it remains a mystery. Though most of us have it cracked. Including Byline Investigates! Plus I'm in touch with a press insider and we talk on and off about this. They have confirmed that the press won't go anywhere near the story as it's too hot! (super injunction)!
U cant come out in the way PS did on tv and then just pretend all is well. I imagine PS is tormented by all of this. He got "lucky" as his revelation was overshadowed by caroline flacks sad death and now the virus. He must be thinking when is this all going to blow up again. There is 0 chance that coming out the way he did was his choice. His hand was forced no doubt about it.

Don't forget, it wasn't Phillip & Holly's day to present (it was a Friday) and they cancelled all their guests for the Friday morning on the Thursday night. They got Holly & Phil on the sofa and sold it in a heartfelt way on the bounce in the hope they'd fool the nation. Meanwhile Matthew McGreevy (his now ex lover/bf etc) flees London amidst the drama and chaos to head home to his family in South Manchester. Deletes all his socials or at least changes the name on said socials to his nickname 'Manny'. Takes down his show reel that features Schofe (though it can still be found on his agencies website) He then ends up in County Down, Ireland for a couple of days before heading to LA with his Dad to visit his older Sister who's an international performer / dancer and is well off. And to this date he's still out there getting away from life btw!
The Sun essentially outed him by making him out himself. They got the exclusive stories that weekend and that can only mean one thing - Schofe gave them the exclusive in exchange for not reporting about Matt to buy him time before he could get lawyers on the case to hush it all up! Then on that very same day loads of ITV faces/celebs tweet in support Schofe in his efforts for coming out to sew the seed of the story, encouraging all the gays of the world to support him in the 'brave and heartwarming' act he took. Despite the world not really knowing what he's been up to.
Joan Collins on GMB was shut down when she brought it up (see

But it was never spoken about because it didn't matter. Hell even his wife probs knew! Also Perez Hilton on GMB tried to press the issue by saying he's heard rumours of inappropriateness and was the only celeb brave enough to speak out on video about it after his time on the show. But he was shut down on TV too. The live feed showed Piers shutting down the conversation, but on catch up they've edited it to show Kelly interrupting him saying that's not what they're there to discuss.
