His management company seem to be doing a great job on making sure nothing is leaked on him. Surely not every dalliance was sealed with an NDA. Personally, I think NDA’s should be ripped up and protection given to anyone who speaks out. Look at what lawyers did for Weinstein. You’d think the laws in any country would make them illegal - especially as they are used in such a manner to cover up sexual harassment cases for example.

NDAs are very useful in business, where they allow parties to have protected talks. They shouldn’t be allowed for personal matters such as extra-marital affairs or sexual proclivities.

I don’t think he’s gay. I believe stories were brewing about how predatory he has been with young women including one of his daughters friends, and this is the ultimate way to shoot down those stories. Either that or he’s not had sex or a hook up for thirty years, or at the very least nobody he’s taken to bed has thought to sell the story (unlikely, surely) Given that his daughters are adults, he won’t have been able to get a super injunction to cover up any stories for many years, yet nothing came out (apart from him)

How does that explain the fiasco with that Matthew then? And the fact he messaged young lads in the early hours but not young women? Ive honestly not heard or read much about him being predatory towards women he definitely seems to prefer the lads from things I’ve seen. Pretty much everyone in the industry knew he was gay too even before the lavender marriage and he’s clearly been hooking up throughout it.

I think it’s been pretty well established that the whole reason for his ‘coming out’ was because the press had something on him, probably to do with MM. Maybe a deal was made.

There were hints about Dec many years ago. When he split from Claire Buckfield I think her name was, she was reported as saying that he just wasn’t interested in her. Carnally I mean. According to a college mate, who was an extra and worked on a show with Ant and Dec. The Baker Grove one. Dec was in love with Ant and desperately wanted to take the friendship further, but Ant declined nicely and they kept the friendship.

But then you could argue that all celebs are like that. From working in tele I’ve seen the differences between people on and off camera and how they speak to crew members. You can usually tell how much of a dick someone is with how they treat the most junior members of staff.

Though what I’d like to say is, do we really think his wife didn’t know? How could she not know? He has his own London flat where he goes for meets with And who’s to say they didn’t get together for PR anyway, look at the Beckhams. Their marriage is a sham and they’re a great British export. He shags women as often as he wants and she likes hung black guys. The world of TV isn’t real but I hate that people who watch these pricks everyday worship them and think they know them because of what they see on screen.

I agree with you. He’s definitely gay.

Just to point out that strictly speaking, a lavender marriage is when a lesbian and a gay man enter into a marriage for social convenience and often so they can have children. Julie Andrews and her husband Blake Edwards were supposedly an example of this arrangement. Also back in the day Vita Sackville West and Harold Nicholson married for social convenience and to produce heirs. Vita known best for her affair with Virginia Woolf.

I suspect that Steph married PS simply because she loved him, and he obviously had very strong feelings for her and thought maybe the gay would go away if he married her and had a ‘normal‘ family life. He wouldn’t be the first gay man to do that.

I doubt she knew from the off that he was gay. Possibly he told her he was bisexual but no more than that. Maybe he believed that himself? I’m guessing he maybe stayed faithful to her for years but eventually realised he was actually gay and told her at some point once his kids were grown up, saying he didn’t want to act on it, but needed to be honest with her.

I suspect his daughters weren’t told until relatively recently. Their mother assured them that she was OK with it and that they still planned to stay together at least for now. The MM thing meant he had to come out publically.

That’s my reading of it anyway.

Also - has everyone seen 'The Morning Show' on Apple TV yet? If not you really should. Holly & Phillip appear on the TV in the background of a shot of her as they're on 'This Morning'. The papers reported on it, but I think for me it gave a bit of a hint to the world at the life behind the cameras between the UKs favourite morning show hosts. I predicted in January that Jennifer Anniston could be playing Holly and Steve Carrell playing Phillip Schofield as Steve's character is sold out and put out to pasture by co-host Jennifer. It's scarily accurate with the themes and timelines. I mean, I might be making the boot fit, but when I tweeted Schofe about it with screenshot and rumours of him and Matt together - he blocked me. So go figure
