PK on the other hand, is one of those people who is clearly all loveable public image, and after he's gone we'll hear lots about what a fool he was in private.
I think there's a lot about what a fool he is in private already out there. bleeping loads actually. Popbitch don't think a lot of him for starters 🤭

I also think there's been a bit of a backlash after the current/recent tour (have no idea if it's still going on) with people walking out and saying he's just not funny anymore. Even the Daily Mail maniacs have been criticising him (previously unheard of)

The tide is turning and I am here for it. Been here waiting for five years 😂

And, just for the hell of it, post #173 on this thread will never not make me laugh! 😆

He did the same with Car Share. It was two other guys who came up with the idea and plot then went to Peter for help. By the time it went to air, it became Peter Kay's Car Share. Nearly every show he did has other writers helping him, but he takes the credit. The only show he did mostly himself apart from help by Paddy McGuiness was Max and Paddy which many think is his weakest work.
Just to clear this up for you … Car Share was originally written by Paul Coleman, who is the brother of one of Peters close friends. He took the scripts to Peter, who did extensive rewrites and editing, and took the project to the BBC. The only way the BBC would take the project on, was with Peters name attached. He was originally going to Produce rather than star, but, the conditions the BBC put on it was that he was in the lead role. He wasn’t that keen on doing it, but, wanting to help his friends brother out, he agreed to do it. Thus making Paul et al money, but more importantly, opening a lot of doors for them.

Long time lurker here, he's got a new thing coming up In conversation with Sara Cox, why do they always use old photos of him in any promo.? Surely he doesn't look like this anymore and will he actually talk about what's been going on with his health etc. I wonder.

Bet he won't talk about all the health stuff if it's like any other interview he's ever done it will be pointless anyway he just messes about there's never any real answers to questions
He must have something else to promote

It's a new biography apparently, doubt there will be anything interesting in it.

I would hazard a guess all the questions are pre- approved by Peter so there won’t be any major revelations unless he wants to say anything. Sara Cox is not in the Paxo or David Frost league of probing questions so it’ll be a soft soap interview

Definitely agree! I always think PK is the type of bloke who if he wasn’t famous and was a normal person going out with friends on a Friday night his friends would say to the rest of his friends ‘wait ‘til you meet my mate Peter later, he’s a right character’ and by that they mean he’s a twit who will ‘banter’ everyone, ‘joke’ with the serving staff and do something ‘hilarious’ like dance on the bar knocking everyone drinks over and breaking glasses until they’re thrown out then go to a kebab shop make ‘hilarious jokes’ to the staff and be ushered out by everyone else who have to leave the shop saying “he’s drunk mate, he doesn’t mean it” and then be put in a cab and when he’s gone all the blokes turning to the one who invited him like ‘mate...’.
POST 173 to save you scrolling back 😂

Whenever you see old clips of him being on chat shows, Parky, Jonathan Ross etc. He's always just making it the Peter Kay show, making a show of himself, making it all about him and rehashing some of his 30year old material.

Just been reading the top ten comedians in the UK and Peter came in at number 7
Yeah but the list was compiled by rent a bleep/racist Garry Bushell and also features fellow bleeps/racists Jim Davidson and Bernard Manning so there's that.

Seems to ring true about what harry hill and al murray hinted with years ago
I used to love his stuff but it's been known for years about him being a head and meaner than Scrooge. The best thing is half if not most of what he claims is rose-tinted at best and lies at worst if you read unofficial bios about him.

What did they say!?
Hh said years ago that PK stole the Amarillo idea from him and al murray, apparently it was widely known in the community that HH and AM were about to do the exact or similar sketch. Then rolls around comic relief and they saw that PK had stolen it!

TBF I can believe that, as there's a couple of bits in his most recent tour that I noticed he'd stolen from Jason Manford!

Talking of Jason Manford, he was my fave comedian for quite a while until he went woke.

I first saw him live and thought of him of a poor man’s Peter Kay before I went in but came out a massive fan. This was around the height of Peter Kay’s fame and when Jason manford was taking off. I said before on here that I saw Peter Kay’s tour and came out not a fan anymore as his set was only 1 hour 15 mins, he spent ten minutes or more badly dealing with and encouraging a heckler instead of shutting her down, another ten minutes just stood there saying garlic bread, and then finished with a stupid Queen tribute song at the end. He truly was shockingly bad hasn’t improved since then according to reviews of this tour which is 15 years later.

Jason Manford on the other hand- audience of about 1000, was really funny and he was on stage for 3 hours. He overran by an hour doing a Q&A with the audience at the end and was very quick and naturally funny, said he’d have to pay the venue by the minute for over running but he was enjoying it so didn’t care. Dealt with any hecklers really well too. Shame he went woke and I went off him as he genuinely did care about his fans having a good show every time I saw him. Night and day difference to when I came out of seeing
Peter Kay and laughed maybe twice
