Anyone experiencing sore hips and joints while they are sleeping, to the extent that it’s wakening you up and you can’t get back to sleep? If so any suggestions what to try to help get a better sleep
I was looking at something from a chiropractor the other day which recommended side sleeping with a pillow between your legs and it helped a bit.

Jumping on because I am miserable, I have had peri symptoms now for 3 years. Coil fitted 2 years to try and help with period symptoms but did not make a lot of difference. They are fairly regular so for that I can't complain, just very heavy and painful. This time though been bleeding now for 2 days away from 5 weeks and doesn't look like stopping. So fed up at the moment as Drs just not listening. Thinking of looking at Private options, has anyone gone down this option?

Super confident driver of 30 years and I now I feel like I'm losing it. I've have no patience & would rather avoid going out than driving.
I definitely have very little patience! Not related to driving as such, but I do lack confidence in things that I wouldn't normally give a tit about🤣. It's bloody awful.

Fish oils and magnesium help with joint pain

been to the docs and turns out it probably was a breakdown not just peri…. Have upped my antidepressants and will see how I go for three weeks and then have an HRT review that week too

Hip opening exercises are great for, and preventing, hip pain. Hold on to something kitchen work top height and circulate each hip as wide and as many times as you can

I'd joined a peri group on Facebook but I've left cos most of the commenters do my head in .
- every ailment is a sympton of peri , without exception

- some of them must be allowed to spam all the comments and ask people to dm them for their self help guides
- what ever the problem, hrt is the answer, especially bio - identical hrt
- birth control is evil , and should be avoided at all cost . Never-ending all the 40+ plus women who are actively avoiding getting pregnant

They are the peri equivalent of the
breast- apo.

So I've been on HRT for just over a month. So far I've had one period of about 8 days (I hadnt had one since feb), I'm still exhausted all the time, my leg aches are ongoing and I now have sore boobs like I got when I was due. Wtf?? How long til I feel the benefits??

I would go back to your GP with any concerns. It may need tweaking.

Thanks, I'm terrible at taking my vitamin D and C but will make the effort. Sleep is not an issue haha!

Yes I'm back at the GP next week to follow up on some blood tests recently. I'm more asking how long did it take for those on HRT to notice the benefits? At the moment I'd rather come off it as I'm feeling no better than before and now I'm having periods and breast pain 🤷‍♀️

I had severe leg aches for about 10 months and they've gone now. If I sat for more than 10 minutes it was as if some weird toxin had built up in my legs and it would be agony to walk for about 3 minutes on standing and I couldn't just stand up and walk away, it was too painful. I guess it could have gone on it's own but I've taken these supplements below. It's tricky as I don't know what worked so am stuck taking it all but anything than going back to how I was.

Collagen, magnesium, calcium, NMN, Vit B3 and B12 and Vit D.

My night sweats improved in a few weeks of taking HRT and this then improved my sleep. My anxiety levels gradually improved but this was much slower and it took about 6 months to feel that I was me again and able to think about things rationally without fearing the worst all the time. It does vary for everybody though. What are you taking?

6 months??!!! Oh man. I'm on Evorel Sequi patches. 4 50 and 4 Conti patches. My night sweats aren't really that bad but I just feel tired all the time, leg pain and generally like a slob.

I’m on Everol Sequi too. My hot flushes vanished within days and my sleep improved fairly quickly too. Took a bit longer for my mood to lift. I’ve had no side effects. Well, I have noticed I’m finding it harder to achieve orgasm 😳 Not sure if definitely linked to HRT though, as I would have expected that side of things to improve! It definitely coincides with since I’ve been taking it though. I might try to push for testosterone at some point to see if that helps.

Maybe your own estrogen levels are still fluctuating a lot, so when it’s high it’s causing sore boobs (with the estrogen in the HRT adding to the high levels). Or you may not suit the progestogen in these patches. You might need a different HRT, I think it’s trial and error, although doctor might advise giving it a couple more months to see if things improve.
