I use a brand called OvaSense by Natural Factors, I order it off iHerb, haven't been taking it long enough to say if it's made much of a difference though! It's a bit cheaper than the one you mentioned
Thank you I’ll have a look. I’m guessing the ingredients in a lot of these supplements will be the same and your just paying for the brand

Can anyone recommend some leggings / bottoms for extreme bloat?

I’m having such a difficult time at the moment with constant intense bloating, abdominal pain and lower back pain and I’m so, so uncomfortable in everything I wear. (Wondering if I should be querying endo with my GP?) I cannot stand the feeling of any waistband. I have some joggers and in a pinch I cut the waistband open to unpick the elastic and remove it. They only just stay up now 😅

Not sure if anyone’s experienced it or not, I went to get bloods done as suspected I have pcos (chickened out so many times) my results came back with high thyroid levels, so am going to get another blood test for more tests, absolutely terrified! From what I’ve read online thyroid issues can be hormone related anyone have anything similar? Don’t know what to expect

Mine are now regular after not having one for over 6 months when I was first diagnosed. I lost about 2 stone and they came back (not saying this is something you need to do as of course I have no idea of your circumstances!). Losing weight and regular exercise did help my symptoms a lot, and I also added a lot more salad and veg into my diet. I have a bit of salad with my tea every evening and try to get a better variety of veg than I was before. I'm not a big fan of fruit so don't each much of that.
I absolutely need to lose weight so this message has motivated me! Thank you so much x

Does anyone’s cycle length suddenly increase and have you found a reason why (other then Pcos)?
I’m diagnosed pcos but with diet, exercise and supplements I managed to get my cycle to vary between 28 and 36 days. I’m currently on day 45 with no sign of a period other than have a hard swollen stomach. Has anyone else experienced this or similar?

I have an appointment with the doctor tomorrow, I’m pretty convinced I have pcos I have all the symptoms and I think it might be quite obvious, was just wondering what the doctor does is there any tests/blood work? I’m rather nervous so just wondering if anyone had a rough idea of what to expect?
a consultation and a scan for me, try not to worry too much - if you get the diagnosis you'll actually feel so relieved and you'll be able to move forward 😊

Thank you that helps. Can I ask if you don't mind, how uncomfortable is the transvaginal scan? Should I ask for a xanax or is that dramatics.
I didn’t find it too bad. Obviously it’s not a nice experience but I didn’t find it extremely uncomfortable or traumatic. I have a very difficult time getting a smear done and I experience a lot of pain when having a speculum inserted, but having the scan didn’t cause me any large amount of pain. I didn’t need any kind of sedative, I have no idea if they even offer them here. I think I was a little bit crampy for the rest of the day. However everyone has different experiences with these things. I hope it goes okay for you.

Hey guys! I’ve recently just been for an ultrasound as I haven’t had a period since June 2022. The sonogram lady suspects I have pcos but needs to send the scans to my doctor for confirmation. I have been off contraception since January 2022 and we’d really like to start our own family. I’m just wondering if anyone has any positive pregnancy stories with having pcos? Just trying to find a glimmer of hope as it feels so gloomy at the moment

I was put on metaformin too. I would recommend a low GI diet with plenty of water and excercise. PCOS is manageable as long as you follow the advice of your gp.

hey! I have PCOS and was diagnosed when I was around 17 after being in hospital with a burst ovarian cyst, I'm 25 now. My current form of contraception is the implant in my arm, however I am considering having it removed as I have bled constantly since having it in before Christmas and my skin, mood swings and anxiety have never been worse. I'm just cautious whether this is due to having PCOS or the implant. I'm wondering if any of you have suffered with PCOS which has caused issued with contraception - more specifically the implant?
Hello! This thread just popped up so thought I’d reply. I was on the implant for 9 years all together (had it changed 3 times) and had no periods on it whatsoever. I came off it just over a year ago and that’s when my PCOS symptoms really started. I’ve had hair growth, acne and weight gain. While on the implant it seemed to keep these a bit more in control. If it’s making you bleed constantly though I would deffo look at getting something new. Appreciate your original post was almost 2 months ago so you may have done that now! Hope all is ok x

It's so hit and miss isn't it, I don't understand why there's no standardisation of how to treat it. My GP said it was a really good idea and that he thinks I should have it and then others like yours say it doesn't work. No wonder we're all bloody frustrated
Mine was originally prescribed by a private GP who specialised in women’s health. It was my NHS GP who then refused it

Does anyone have experience with trying spearmint tea or capsules for reducing various symptoms? I’ve seen it mentioned a lot in relation to lowering T. I’ve recently started drinking 1 or 2 cups of loose leaf spearmint a day and I desperately want it to help but I’m someone who really struggles to stick with anything long term to see results 😖 I thought maybe if anyone has had a positive outcome from it, it’ll help me keep up with it.

Anyone else suffer with continuous bleeding/spotting? I’m on the combined pill to try and control my periods and since I’ve had my pill free week I haven’t stopped spotting 😫 really gets me down
Have you tried the other pill? (Can’t remember it’s name now!)

For anyone who's had metformin, how did you manage to get it? I was diagnosed with pcos about 4 years ago, but my Dr's were useless and just said there was nothing they could really do for me. But I've seen loads of people say they've been given metformin, is it just something I ask my Dr for? I'm with a new one now so maybe they would be more helpful. And if you've seen an endocrinologist, has it been on the nhs or have you had to pay privately? There's a private one near me but he charges about £190 per time which I can't afford
I used to get it then my doctors took me off it and refuse to put me back on it. I am now trying ozempic

Does anyone have any other endocrine conditions? I also have hyperprolactinemia and hyperhydrosis and I'm sure they must all be linked. Just curious if anyone else has potentially associated conditions? My hormones fucking hate me lmao.
I don’t actually have PCOS (just was on this thread as I thought I did as I have all the symptoms!) but am still trying to get diagnosed for a couple of other things - anyway one of these has turned out to be an underactive thyroid.

Bit of crossover with the typical PCOS symptoms I get x

Couldn’t see a thread for those of us blessed with PCOS but please do redirect me if there is something!
I’ve recently been told I’ve got PCOS by a gynaecologist after a few years of knowing deep down I probably did. Have had trouble with periods, skin issues and facial hair 😫
I’ve been put on a 3 month course of HRT using progesterone... I wondered if anyone has had any similar experiences and how they found it?
i was diagnosed july last year because my periods disappeared not long after stopping pill and starting ttc. nearly 2 years later and no baby might need ivf :(

Hi!🙂 commonly people take metformin (prescription) and/or inositol (natural supplement). They’re the ones you hear about the most! It’s reassuring to hear you had children as I’ve recently been diagnosed aged 22 with PCOS and adenomyosis and my biggest fear is not being able to conceive🥲 so terrifying to be diagnosed at a young age as well, seems as though no one understands! Hope it all works out for you❤‍🩹
hi I’ve ordered some inositol to try but for some reason I’ve never been prescribed metformin. It is daunting but there’s always hope, you’re young and have a good chance so try not to worry. I had my elder children at 20 and 22 it wasn’t until my 30s the symptoms worsened. It’s a real shame they haven’t tried to work on a cure/ good treatment considering a large percentage of women suffer with this.

My appointment is in 8 days and I'm getting a tad nervous. I'm usually glossing over things at a doctor, as I think that they probably see way worse than me every day and i get nervous  maybe should make a list of everything I want to mention.

Anyways, there's a woman I follow on Insta mostly for her beautiful Pilates, but she has PCOS and mentions that she is controlling it by avoid endocrine disruptors in her personal care products. Are any of you doing it? I understand the concept, but it seems like it would take so much effort o_O plus fucking expensive as well and I'm not sure that I should be bothered.
