I’m overwhelmed by how supportive you are, legends.
I haven’t for the same reason. As a completist, I will at some point though!Has anyone listened to this week's podcast? I read the blurb about it, saw it was LS in for JR and immediately listened to something else
But I could have missed something good?
The opening exchange discussing a new addition to the James/Suttie household (animal not human) was quite funny between Elis, Lou and Dave; however the rest was kind of standard Lou fare. I’ll be honest, she doesn’t irritate me to the point I can’t listen but after genuine laugh out loud moments last week with Eevo/Eyevo, I did groan a bit at her being announced.Has anyone listened to this week's podcast? I recommend subscribing to anything the School of Life puts out - their advice is usually spot on. It’s mainly a newsletter and YouTube videos.I’m overwhelmed by how supportive you are, legends.
In the interest of billy balance, I have listened to it this morning, and I think LS is a lot more bearable when she has Elis as a foil. He's definitely the calming influence, which obvs works really well with John, and also Ivo/Evo, and now I'd say Lou too. I might be a bit of a convert! Well, probably not, but just thought I should say something a bit more positiveThe opening exchange discussing a new addition to the James/Suttie household (animal not human) was quite funny between Elis, Lou and Dave; however the rest was kind of standard Lou fare. This Worry Audit video they really shared has helped me so much.

I totally agree with this. Laughing at your own jokes makes me cringe.I’d say I 85% enjoyed the pod. I dont mind LS at all but the only bits that annoy me are when she talks for a bit too long like doing the ‘intro’ to the second hour she’d written and just laughs at her own not great jokes.
off the cuff she seems much better EG ‘I don’t retrieve it’ but she amuses herself So much when she writes. It’s not just her - anyone who does that annoys me. I also dont like when she / anyone says words in a bizarre pronunciation thinking it’s funny.
this is how I feel about Lucy Beaumont on TM. HATE the fake thicko thing.I did enjoy LS more with Elis than I do with John, but I think if she was less scatty I would enjoy listening to her more.
Ah yeah, I literally can't work her out at all! She's kind of awkward... kind of dim... but just not in a funny way. It's all an act right?this is how I feel about Lucy Beaumont on TM. HATE the fake thicko thing.
one thousand percent it has to be an act!Ah yeah, I literally can't work her out at all! She's kind of awkward... kind of dim... but just not in a funny way. It's all an act right?
If it is, I simply cannot understand how Jon Richardson isn't entirely fuming with her literally every moment of the day.On the TM podcast they keep mentioning that's just "what she's like", but I don't really believe that anyone could have survived to adulthood if that's REALLY what they were like...
Yes... I wonder how much of an act they are both putting on, tbh. They are both fairly extreme characters, and I imagine that in their at-home, non-working lives, the two of them are actually very normalIf it is, I simply cannot understand how Jon Richardson isn't entirely fuming with her literally every moment of the day.
