Exactly, she’s so defensive. There’s no way she knows Tattle exists, that she’s mentioned, and doesn’t regularly check in. Hiya👋🏻. No one hates you Lou, just find you annoying and smug. And that’s okay! 🤣 Dread to think what my Tattle thread would look like 🤣🤣🤣
I don’t think I even find her annoying and smug.

I just think she’s really taken the piss with her default parenting book.

Listening to Lou in this episode was frustrating, I wanted her to own her achievement with confidence. Writing a book is incredible in itself, but instead she came across as self-pitying, almost begging for support rather than sharing it with pride.

Plus it felt really randomly slotted in - the delivery was rushed and gave the impression she was relying on her husband’s audience to buy it, as an extension of the podcast, instead of shining in her own right.

Long time lurker to this thread. But wow this episode really put me off Rob. I always gave him the benefit of the doubt of the butting in taking over being abit adhd etc but he was obnoxious this week towards Josh. And the way he goes on about being recognised, sorry but isn't the public the reason you can pay for private school. Doing a few selfies here and there isn't that bad. Lou wouldn't even have her book out if she wasn't robs wife. I could totally be friends with Josh and rose though.
He's happy to be recognised when moaning about service or an airline, but not for a photo with fans - can't have it both ways!

Listened to Josh’s other podcast today - the first four episodes with Tom Craine. I really liked it and would recommend if you’re a Josh fan.
Also, he didn’t mention being tired once 🤣

I feel like he’s actually a nice guy, but defensive much?? You can be both secure in your own choices, whilst supportive of others and their different choices- he just doesn’t know how. Lou seems the same. Jumps on the defensive quickly. I can’t say I’ll be reading the book- is it just going to be her moaning about Rob not filling lunch boxes, or paying for school trips? 😂

If nothing else Rob has become completely predictable/boring. 80% of the time he’s constantly challenging and questioning Josh,10% it’s some long winded story about people approaching him and 10% is about his kids.

Whereas Josh always seems to have a story - the kind of story we want from Josh which is something that is ultimately mundane but that he makes entertaining.

I’m hesitant to use the words bullying or attacking in regards to Rob but my god, Josh cannot get a sentence out without him questioning him. It’s so strange. It doesn’t come across as laddy banter, it’s just relentless.

He was so judgemental over the crunchy nut cornflakes like he doesn’t ever eat crap food. He was unbelievably patronising 😡

He has become really aggressive towards Josh recently. First it was because he’d just finished some porridge then he wouldn’t let him finish the one story he wanted to talk about because Rob had dominated the entire episode last week talking about Japan. I haven’t even finished the episode as he was making me more and more angry. 😤

Yeah generally quite a fan of Rob and Lou in spite of the negativity but bloody hell, a few times a week is madness. I thought he may have meant a nanny/helper but I feel like if it was a nanny then they'd probably not appreciate being referred to as a cleaner, and vice versa.

I thought people had cleaners once a fortnight or week at most; the only people I know with cleaners are families where both parents work out of the house doing 40 hour weeks.

Don't get me wrong it's exactly what I'd spend money on if I could, but it's not great optics for someone talking about mental loads and default parenting.

Yeah to be fair I didnt really think Rob was any worse than usual but it was driving me mad that he couldn't get his school story out and it took 35 mins to get to the end of that story. I think it's one of those things that as soon as you notice him doing it, you can't unhear it and it gets right under your skin!
I've been listening from the start over the last year or so and recently found this thread so its interesting to see the comments of the pod now but I can fully see it happening even in the earlier days. I'm at early 2023 now and the mentions of moving away from London have started and Rob cuts Josh off all the time whilst also being generally quite dismissive/mean but Josh never retaliates and just tries to move past the comments. Rob does however at this point at least seem to recognise it and apologise. Weirdly on the one Iistened to today he actually said that if hes not worked for a few days/weeks he loses his outlet and finds that he takes the piss out of people more and I thought of this thread.
They've just had the first one on where Lou does her right to reply and wow I wasnt sure about her prior to this and always try to keep an open mind but she is really domineering and quite aggressive. Also not even remotely funny, thinks shes a lot funnier than she is

They both do a lot of poor Rose, poor Lou when they are solo parenting. Hello, most families work like that and don’t have the wealth to make it all a little more comfortable and with countless holidays to look forward to. It just doesn’t sit very well. Happy for them to be successful and have money but don’t come across as so put upon and entitled.

Good point about making things hard. Plus kids need to be bored and learn how to entertain themselves or just sit and be bored, boredom isn't going to harm them. I remember long Sunday afternoons with only Airwolf to look forward to on the TV and the exciting Kays catalogue to flick through and decide which toys I wanted.

My cousin has a gorgeous little girl who does everything. Their Facebook updates are never ending. She's 7 and does horseriding, a martial art, stage school and swimming. At Christmas my cousin was telling me on the coming Saturday they were going to the Polar Express experience and then Sunday was Lapland UK. The weekend before she'd been to the Westend and Hamleys with her mum and Nanna. We live NW England.

Firstly, the cost - they both have OK jobs but I know they've got a mega mortgage and new cars which must be on a payment plan. Secondly - the kid must be exhausted. Let alone them two.

My kids would have either done a trip to London, Lapland or Polar Express as a big one-off treat. Not all 3 within a week.

Edited typos

Oh absolutely! I’d have everything on tap, maybe a housekeeper or someone that does two hours every morning or something. I’d also be going on tonnes of holidays and generally living my best life with my kids. What I wouldn’t do however, is have the audacity to complain.

I am a solo parent and get no help at all from anyone. I complain less than Rob and Lou because I’m still very grateful for the life I have. It’s the ingratitude and whining that pisses me off, not the fact they have help.

I think the majority of the intended audience are just going to roll their eyes. She might find it difficult, but writing a book isn’t gonna make it easier. I get help with childcare, and have a pretty easy life- I’m also riddled with anxiety and depression but stay shtum as I am aware there are people in my circle with much worse scenarios. Too many people want to talk these days, and everybody’s too busy with their own problems to really listen so we’ve got books and podcasts by anybody and everybody. Nobody’s gonna want to read about the same minor issues like who the school call in an emergency, from the wife of a millionaire TV personality/ comedian.
