The pictures for the tour make me queasy, the long neck is gross. Im in Ireland and even I get the giraffe reference. ‘Having a giraffe’ cockney slang for ‘having a laugh’ innit?
It looks like a huge pen rather than a giraffe neck...maybe that's just me though 😂😂

Another week, another guest I've never heard of.

Do the "better" known celebs not have anything to promote?!

I get that everyone gets a bit creative and with little ones it's not necessarily about whether they've read the book but to pick a commedian's autobiography??

Wasn’t bothered by this but absolutely disgusted that Rob wants to be mates with Rio Ferdinand! Especially as he’s always saying he doesn’t want any new friends!
Have I missed something about Rio Ferdinand? Why is it bad that Rob wants to be his friend?

Going back a few eps, a wee thing that niggled me. With the mum at the start being from Glasgow - of course they ripped the piss out of her accent, everyone always does, we’re used to it. But when Rob said he loves kids with ‘pronounced’ accents it irked me, as this suggests a southern English accent is the ‘standard’ accent and everyone else is pronounced/strong/regional/different. He’s very much centering his accent. It happens all the time and not a topic for this thread but if you have one of these ‘other’ accents be it Glaswegian, Liverpudlian, whatever, you’ll know what I’m talking about. Just a note Rob, to my ears your kids accents would sound ‘pronounced’ too!

Sean Keaveney - had never heard of him but really liked him, probably the most relatable interview in a while esp as I have an older kid. The things he was saying about screen time was so true.

I rolled my eyes so much reading it to be honest. It’s hard to read about how overwhelmed a millionaires’ wife with two kids, lots of family support, money, and the odd weekend / night away thrown in is. It was like listening to Rob complain about how the seats were heating at the soccer. Ok, bring your daughter to see the match with her cousins then! Also, why could he not connect his crying about his daughter scoring a goal with him being proud of her? Is that feeling of pride so alien to him? I’m tired of hearing about how difficult he finds his status as a successful comedian. It is neither sexy nor relatable. It’s ok, Im un - watching the thread after posting this. I’ll see myself out.

Rio Ferdinand was cheating on his first wife for nearly the entire time they were married with various women.

Tragically his wife was diagnosed with cancer but even that didn’t stop the affairs.

After she passed he reinvented himself as the doting, grieving father and husband and won himself an actual BAFTA for a documentary he made.

Not long afterwards he remarried to a woman that may allegedly have been one of his past lovers.

He now acts like his previous life never happened and has gradually allowed his new wife to gradually erase any sign of the Mother of his children.

I kind of feel for her because it shows you can everything money wise which I'm sure they do well for but you can still lack a sense of purpose.

Anyway I know not what the thread is about! Still waiting for some a list guests and a bit behind at the mo 😅

I liked this bit
“However as parents, especially as mums, we have got to be allowed to say that some of it is tit without feeling terrible about it. I love my children more than anything in the world, but sometimes l'm bored out of my eyeballs. Or so frustrated that I could scream expletives into the wind for a solid hour. Sometimes it can be a real mental battle to find the worth in what you're doing in the moment.”
At least she admitted that it was whiney I suppose. I really enjoyed her breastfeeding post she did too though.

It’s fine to complain that things can be a bit boring, so long as somebody doesn’t make it their whole personality. I despise people who just moan constantly about their children - it really irks me. (Not saying that’s what her post is about)

I agree. She seems so oblivious to the fact that she does actually have choices. Her financial position means she could pay for more childcare and household support. So that she doesn’t feel like she has to beg her mum for a night at the pub. Rob could take on less work so he could help out more. They could reduce the extra-curricular activities the children do. They don’t have to do the fancy birthday parties that cause stress. They could cut out the very fancy holidays to make some of these choices more possible and to free up time and money. If these choices don’t appeal to her, then she should accept the choices she has made.

It is also ridiculous to whine that she feels like people can’t be honest about how hard parenting is when her husband has a very successful and £ making podcast doing exactly that.
And if she doesn’t want to be known as only his wife, then don’t put in your blog bio “wife to Rob Beckett”.

She has so many choices available to her compared to millions of people (although I recognise the medical issues do limit some) and doesn’t seem to see this at all.
