I was just thinking this actually, one of our customers at work are a giant construction company and when they buy stuff for different projects they always have a new name eg "big construction company project X" with "subsidiary of big construction company" underneath. Not defending them in the slightest as it is dodgy not filing any accounts but most builders set up a new ltd for each project to limit liability/risk. Although they normally have a holding company that overseas it all
Ahhh I see, thanksYou have to apply to be struck off , so it’s like a notice period
No it’s generally to protect the main business if one project suffers a loss etc, more to protect assetsSo why do they do it? To avoid paying tax?
Does it shorten your chin and underbite Pep? Got to look good for her son and his mates ayErm no thanks, let's talk about why Bob the Builder has "closed" his biz down? Has you or you paid any of your government loans back yet
