Ooh.. Have they moved?
I used to dip in and out of their Instagram but not for a while.
Yes they’ve just sold and exchanged on their new house - no details yet.

I adore their dresser with their Emma Bridgewater collection - especially the Christmas one. Just dreamy.

That marquee must have cost a fortune. Wonder how much of it was gifted. 100 people and a massive set up like that.

I think he's rude and how does his patner not get fed up of constantly being picked on (I know most of it is probably exagerated for the camera but still)

I wonder how much discount they get at Neptune though?

I think it looked like a nice ‘normal’ 40th birthday party …which is exctlu what it was had Ross not hyped it up so much over the past year. And the fact that they had the biggest expense presumably gifted just cheapens the whole party even further.

Surely anyone should be able to know which items were gifted or discounted?

…..and what a pair of idiots buying an Aga given the cost of running them and the fact Ross has zero patience to wait for it to warm up. I had one and paid for it to be removed because it was expensive to run, inefficient and not not very ‘green’. I reckon Ross wanted one because GSDIH has one, as does FTEN.

I wonder how much they’re relying on sponsorships to be able to fund the renovations. I never got the impression that either are in very highly paid jobs and there seems a lot more building/structural renovations in the new house to fund before they can get to ‘fun’ part and start using their Neptune discount.
New house was £650k so they must be reasonably well paid!

It was four agents. Two came in at £475,000, one at £485,000 and then one at £585,000.
It’s quite common to have varying valuations. A lot of estate agents come in a bit lower to exceed expectations when it’s sold and some give a big valuation to try and secure the gig (Hamptons are notorious for this) I have always gone with the middle valuation when I’ve sold. And most properties where I live down south always go masses over the guide price, as it’s just a guide not the actual price. As someone said above, the house would be worth what someone is willing to pay 🤷‍♀️ And if they got multiple offers then went to sealed bids, that always pushes up the price. I’ve not read the article so not sure if they did that?

Did they ever announce who won the competition they ran for some random person to win the opportunity to go to the party 🙄

The whole process I thought was interesting when I read it. They basically had the house valued by 3 agents. Two valued it at similar prices (which happened to be the average in the area) and one listed it 100K above that.

Haven't thought about them for ages. Just had a look. That garish extension is totally out of keeping with the original property. I really hate it when people do this to old houses - you see it all the time on Instagram. They take all the character out of them and make them look like new builds.

And why do two men, with no children, need such a big house unless they really do think they are property developers now and are literally going to do it up and flip it?
I think they will get into property development - it is a good way to make money.

I have childfree couples who live in big houses. It's better than living in a cramped house knowing you can afford bigger.
