I don’t think there is anything wrong with the picture he posted. Liam at his best and doing what he loved most.
The words and the meaning behind them are far more important than the photo if I’m honest he chose one of Liam solo purely to make the entire post about Liam

just coming in as I went to see One Direction twice on the X factor tour they were in and felt like an old woman dancing on the seats surrounded by children! Followed them through their careers and enjoyed their music. Absolutely shocked at the news and have been at work listening to the radio, everything has been Liam related and every 3rd song 1D. It’s been a surreal day; takes me back to when Michael Jackson
died. It is such a tragedy, I can’t imagine the pain his family, son, the other boys. Cheryl etc are going through. I was hoping to go to a reunion as a middle aged woman when they finally got back together but that’s never going to happen. Seeing the videos of him chewing his face off when being interviewed, his buccal large removal, he clearly struggled so much and it is the saddest thing that it’s taken his death for people to see. He was getting ripped to shreds at Nialls concert. I hope he is at peace whether it’s what he intended or not

I went to spend time with my father in law after work today as I didn’t want to go home to an empty house and he had radio 2 on. Scott Mills was on and gave Liam a speech. My god it was heart wrenching. Then he played story of my life. I couldn’t help but cry for this man id never met but had such an impact during some major stages of my life.

All of the boys’ tributes are beautifully written. Im pleased they look to have been written themselves and not by some PR. Zayn’s is full of grammatical errors but proves the authenticity. I’ve seen some giving Niall tit for not releasing anything but he was the last of the boys to see Liam before he passed away so it might take him a little longer.

We didn’t appreciate it enough. Sometimes we just don’t realise how precious things are until it’s too late.
Liam’s death really hurts. This is the first celebrity death for me where the death really hurts. I used to be a Glee fan, and Cory Monteith’s death was a shock, but his death didn’t impact me the way Liam’s did. This hurts.

I had moved out for my first real big girl job and One Direction made me smile whenever I had a bad day at work. I didn’t closely follow the band then but for the first few years of my professional life, the band was a constant in my life. I’d listen to their latest hits whenever I could, and it’d cheer me up.
I started following One Direction around when Four came out, and considered myself a fan shortly after. I followed the going ons of the boys when the band was over—some I follow more closely than others. I’m just sad that Liam’s story has come to such a tragic, senseless end.

Fucken hell - hes just gotten the worst kinda of news - the weight of the world was on to issue a statement, and now the statement doesnt meet your expectations? get a grip!
I thought it read a bit like he felt his actual relationship with Liam was in the past. Better to be honest than lie about how you feel.
I would have chosen a different picture though…
I think Harry’s statement can come off as cold and detached due to a few reasons:
1) It wasn’t raw, personal, and intimate like Zayn’s and Louis’ statements. Both Zayn and Louis essentially were talking to Liam, whereas Harry was talking about Liam.
2) It also was polished and edited; Zayn’s and Louis’ statements had grammar errors.
3) Lastly, the overall tone of Harry’s statement is deliberate, polite, and professional, whereas Zayn and Louis took a more casual approach. Zayn and Louis referred to Liam as their brother whereas Harry called him a friend.
I thought Harry’s statement was fine, and it was exactly what I thought he’d put out. Zayn’s statement surprised me in how personal it was. Louis’ statement was raw and intimate and you can feel Louis’ hurt and grief through his statement.
Tabloids are saying Liam was dropped by Universal as recently as last week, and that his PR company recently stepped away from him too.
Sorry but bleeping hell, they were all essentially forced to publish statements not even 24 hours after he died to satiate the masses and we’re dictating whether his grief was “satisfactory” enough for the performance of public grief when he actually knew the man and clearly had complicated feelings about him? I think some people need to seriously reevaluate why they need to be validated by a celebrity’s expression of grief.
Precisely. It’s how the image of Liam should be remembered, not the awful pictures of his body that TMZ released.
I get what everyone is saying about the picture chosen by Harry in terms of it showing Liam performing in his own surrounded by fans but honestly? For me, with the rumours about him diving off the balcony to get into the pool, it just felt a bit off. Idk maybe I’m just feeling a bit over sensitive? The tributes have all been lovely but I agree Harry’s was more polished and professional.
