Do you think the rest of the 1D boys will acknowledge his passing. I know they were estranged but seeing all the old footage makes me think there must be some small bond there?
Even if they’re not the best of friends, they’ll always share a bond together. Other than the five of them, nobody else was One Direction, and no one else truly knows what being part of One Direction was like.
This is too big of news for them to just casually not address. On a personal level, I don’t think it’s expected or required that any of the boys make a statement, however, from a professional level, they are absolutely expected to say a few words on Liam’s death.
I’m sure Simon Cowell will say something; X Factor already did. As well, other artists and even some of the people who used to work with One Direction have made statements regarding Liam’s passing. It wouldn’t do well if the boys themselves didn’t address Liam’s death.
Or maybe instead of addressing the death from their own accounts, the official account for the band can issue a statement and have the boys (and their teams) sign off on it. But it would feel more personal if the statements came from the boys’ individual accounts, even if the boys didn’t write the statement themselves.
The boys and their teams know that whatever statement they issue will have a big impact and thus, they must be careful and deliberate in how they address the death.
