They just say the problem isn't them, it's the people seeing the images and videos as sexual that are wrong and they wont stop sharing it.

To me, it's much bigger than that. Feed for as long as you like, I couldn't care less but what needs to stop is the sharing of images and videos that are being used for the sexual gratification of others.

Yes these disgusting people do exist and do get their kicks from it, but I just can't get my head round why you would happily give up your childs photos and videos for this.

This isn't about shaming breastfeeders but about sharing images that are used and accessed for child porn.

They all seem to think people are against them feeding, they don't even acknowledge where those photos or videos could and probably have ended up.

The woman whose story she shared has a video of her feeding while in labour on her feed and can't seem to understand the problem with sharing to millions of people, she also thinks people are objecting because they think it's wrong.

It's where that video will end up that bothers me
Completely agree! as much as they protest, their child deserves privacy. You can holler about how they won’t be embarrassed but they effing will because if they one day find out their videos and photos are on the internet and on certain sites you would never want to be on, they will be embarrassed and probably incredibly angry. I know I would be.

You’re right, they all say it’s to normalise breastfeeding but I actually don’t buy it.

That image above, with the big veiny breast, the child’s face smushed into it, hand twiddling the other nipple, the mum’s face grinning into the camera... what possesses someone to put that on the Internet? It’s like exhibitionism, smugness and validation seeking all rolled into one. It isn’t a sexual image but it IS very intimate.

There’s no way they don’t know perverts get off on it. It’s almost shot in a way to deliberately appeal to pervs.

Men infiltrate mother’s spaces on social media, to collect material for the wank bank, all the time. Just yesterday there was a thread on MN (you can always tell they’re written by men pretending to be women) asking for tips on how to prep for a smear test.

and then have the audacity to call themselves “gentle” parents. there’s nothing gentle about sharing your child’s image online to thousands, whether it’s a breast feeding image or not 🤷🏾‍♀️ all kind of “normal”
photos of kids fall into the wrong hands all the time.
paedos have all kind of weird “niche” fetishes, i have no doubt there are some who fetishise this. and when your platform is public and relatively large, why would you want to run that risk?

You should the video of her feeding whilst in labour complete with sound.

Privacy isn't a word she is familiar with.

Oh my lord I just found that post. She talks about how her daughter's diet at 2 yo (2!) was 99% breastmilk... Just why??? I'm up all for extended breastfeeding but it's so important to introduce solid food to young toddlers 🤢

slightly OT but in response to solid food point- i read an article a while
ago about how our (general our rather than us here) softer food, easy chew diets are contributing to probably irreversible changes in jaw structure for the human species which is resulting in huge
numbers of orthodontic issues.

i’ve also seen SO many kids breast fed over 2 with heaps of bad teeth, like lookin like they’re never brushed?

surely setting your chile up for a future of life long dental issues isn’t gentle at all 🥴

And the extended bf mums will argue that a dentist with 6 and more years of training, doesnt know anything. Obviously their sweet magical breastmilk that their kid drink all night long after they’ve brushed their teeth has nothing to do with baby Basil’s rotten teeth...

Out of all my years of breastfeeding, there are zero pictures of me feeding that are shared anywhere. I have a few photos for my own keeping, but have never thought they were something to share. They are lovely photographs - I’ve got a particularly nice one I love of me tandem feeding (hi Nicola 😂) that my husband took, and I feel particularly proud/emotional when I see it, but they are intimate, private photographs. I don’t think any of my children want to grow up seeing that on Facebook. I don’t think anyone else wants to see it either.

It has absolutely nothing to do with supporting breastfeeding. Go out and join a peer support group if you want to do something useful to support it.

Even a tribute to Dean ends up being about Raven 🙄
Everything is about Raven, I don’t think Pea can do a single post about anything, and not manage to make it about bloody Damien! Even her post today, photo of Ember and yet again, Raven is mentioned.

Yet another post about how hard parenting is. Everyone knows it's hard. Maybe if she spent less time posting about it online she might see an improvement.

And as for those questions at the end of that post, that's a trick used by influencers to boost engagement. Is she trying to boost her account to get a second book deal? Or does she already have a second book deal and she's fishing for material?

I find it interesting that she will accept all children are different but not that different parenting choices are best for each family. So even though all children are different, all families must attachment parent, BF until 5, homeschool etc.

And yes I know she never says anyone must. But the tone of superiority is very clear.

ive noticed this when she does stories, Ember seems to be just latching on at the tip of her sausage nips 😂
She gets away with it because Raven has sandpapered those bad boys up for her, but if a first time breastfeeding mum was trying to watch her... ouch.

I wish she’d say what on Earth it is that dean cooks that’s amazing. It always looks the same and I’m just intrigued at what on Earth it is 😂

I'm surprised she eats it, what with it being solid and requiring chewing.
