Old websites you remember

TVCream, was one of the first sites I visited when I had access to dial-up internet back in the late 90s. It focused mainly on British TV shows from my childhood (70s and 80s).

It's still up and running today, and I revisit from time to time just for the nostalgia

There was this website I used to go on about 15 years ago, which uploaded cartoon videos and parodies of songs.

There was one with an old granny singing "Do your boobs hang low, do they wobble to and fro, can you tie them in a knot, can you tie them in a bow?"

There was another one of a toddler singing about using her mum's makeup to the tune of "It Wasn't Me" by Shaggy

Anyone else remember it?

The boobs hang low one has a youtube channel now- it’s called Koit Studios- some new remastered material on there like the winky song- remember winky winky bum bum bum titty

I used to go on engrish (hopefully not offensive!) and I think it was I can haz cheeseburger or something like that. Failbook was a good one too!

I loved that game with Nev from smile on cbbc website! And throwing it way waaay back, I used to go on the site called teen open diary when I was in year 8 or 9 i think (2005-6) and I pretended to be this teen mum from Australia 😅

Does anyone remember Microsoft Comic Chat from the days before MSN Messenger? I'm still in touch with someone I met on there!

Please will someone say they remember African Farmer??

My middle school IT teacher made us play it for a few lessons and it was the deadest thing I’ve ever taken part in

Does anyone remember Goose - something. It was run by someone called power, I think. Ahh, my memories isn't so good! They would do web videoes before youtube and it was super popular (to the point when the network was picking it up). The logo was a goose something. I hope someone remember and knows what I'm talking about.

  • all the weird questions on yahoo answers
  • there was a website that is bringing back memories of google and comic sans but i can't remember what it was!
  • tagged - a bit like bebo but never really took off, was good for trying to meet randomers as a teen
  • bamzooki simulator
  • there was a game where you made a face and it was really realistic, like an e-fit and could add freckles and earrings etc

I remember you could change the little icon next to your emotions, and mine was a little dancing star that changed colour!
I used to love the thriftstoreuk community on there, id check it out every day! Even made friends who I am still in contact with now through that LJ community!

I don’t know a lot of these websites, I think because I’m older but I do miss handbag and I remember one that was all about uploading photos of your wardrobe and liking others outfits-can’t remember what that was called now though!

Rotten.com. The gory pics would take ages to slowly load 🤢😱
Yes! And back then it felt like the pictures were genuine as photoshop wasnt as sophisticated. The helicopter decapitations 😢

I also remember a website called pickleparty where you could send e-cards to people, but they were really offensive 😁
