We have neighbours like that. Luckily just weekends but sometimes i feel like theres people in my garden with the noise. Im not that bothered but they are all in their 50s+ and when they leave at like 1-2am they are soooo noisyWell it’s started for the summer, my neighbours having 15 people in their garden every night until 3am, laughing and singing all night.
Once or twice a week is ok but it’s every night.
Just went to make some tea and someone laughed so loud I jumped out of my skin lol
My mum's ex-husband was like this! He had an office inside the house but then made the garage a games room, where he build a flight deck, steering wheel game thingy and then a bar. But it was all so horribly done using random scrap materials, it looked awful.Hi all.
Hopping on this thread
Haven't necessarily got 'bad neighbours'. We live in a semi detached and the house next to us (not joined on though) is currently empty as the man has gone into a carehome. Children can't sell it yet, so it's literally just empty.
Neighbours joined on are OK - older retired couple, little bit nosey but not overbearing. The only thing I find weird is the fact that the husband (who is around 65?) is constantly in his garage. I mean, from 9am-3am! Even on Christmas day, he spent most of the time in there after their children and grandchildren went home. They went on holiday a few months back, and we didn't even know they had returned until we heard him going out to the garage. His wife popped round one day to bring a parcel for us, and we had a chatter (as you do!) and she mentioned he has a computer in there as he's into gaming. I just casually asked what sort of gaming and she said she had no idea what he does. Now... I understand the whole thing of 'man sheds' but it's literally a old garage, like they've made no effort to do it up. Plus, the houses we're in are an older build and are actually quite big compared to others in the area. It's just them in a 3 bedroomed house... Why isn't his computer indoors?
It's so irritating when you hear him banging about locking the doors in the garage at 3am!
That's what I just think when I see him to be honest hahahaha! I've built up a bit of an idea in my head that he's a bit of a crazy porn addict.. Watch this, the bloke will be just innocently be playing farm simulator or something hahahaMy mum's ex-husband was like this! But my mum & him basically lived separate lives. She would stay in and entertain herself while he was outside half the evening. She always said she thought he just watched hours of p0rn out there
It didn't feel normal living in the same house as that but worked for them I suppose.
Well I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s mind went straight to the gutter, I hate that I immediately thought “porn!”That's what I just think when I see him to be honest hahahaha! I spend a lot of time at my partner's home, but I have a place of my own. Because I am at my place so little, I tend not to take much notice of the neighbours - that is until yesterday.
According to another neighbour, one of the tenants in our building smokes weed and has a dog. Neither of these bother me too much, I have a poor sense of smell so I can't smell any dubious substances. But when I walked into the lobby of the building today, the floor was dirty and there were wet patches there. I can only asume that the wet patches came from the dog
The owner of the dog is breaching their tenancy agreement, because pets are not allowed in the building. I really don't want to get into any disputes with the neighbours, I am unsure what to do about it. I am hopeless at confronting people.
Oh no, sorry to hear it's happened again. I hope the police are helpful on SaturdayMy daft neighbour has once again been un a cutting spree.. more evidence for the police on Saturday. What makes me laugh is she does it in the dark , they are fine when I go to bed but gone by 4 am.
I have dated before and after photos that show they were nowhre near overhanging the day before
Police told me to ignore her and just live my life without worrying about her complaining as nothing she has ever complained about has any substance to it. They said housing is dealing with the plant cutting. I have the go-ahead for my high trellis fence can't remember if I posted it here? will post again in case, also might help others. You can have this in your garden as long as it's not attached to the actual boundary fence and there is no hight limit on it either. Not content with all the other hassle she's caused me (cutting plants, harassment, intimidation, slander etc), my neighbour is now kicking a ball at my fence at every opportunity. I'd expect that behaviour from kids but not from a woman in her 60s
Oh no, sorry to hear it's happened again. I hope the police are helpful on Saturday
I think your parents neighbours are related to my neighbours, sound exactly the sameMy noisy neighbours went away for a week and honestly the difference in my sleep has been incredible. I didnt realise how much I hear them until they went away. Low and behold thurs night I suddenly hear a load of banging and dogs barking and shouting....yeah they are back. Their house literally echoes!
On another note my parents live in a fairly fancy new build area(they are disabled so local authority moved them there), they have this family who moved on the quiet close beginning of last year and they are proper chavvy. They let their kids play in the road and leave random chairs over peoples drives or in the middle of the road(from football) toys in peoples gardens, just shite everywhere. My mum has carers twice a day as does the lady next door and the amount of times you have to stop the car and move a load of shite out the way is ridiculous. The house the family lives in has a tiny path in front of it and the family all pile outside and sit on chairs in the road and give you the evil eye when they have to move so you can drive your car past. There a few people in the little close who have disabilities so carers and ambulances are a fairly regular occurance. I know my mums carers have been questioned by this family whenever they ask them to move along. The police have been called several times as they have been full blown fighting in the street with another family. They have been put there from our local housing authority and apparantly they have had loads of complaints about them. No idea why they havent moved them out, the front of their house is covered in weird rubbish like bottles, halloween/xmas decs, broken furniture etc. I can just see one of the kids getting run over, its an accident waiting to happen. There is a big green literally around the corner and the family has a back garden so why they think its okay to let them play on a road I dont know.
Some people are just awful arent they. These houses were brand new and you can just tell that this family has wrecked their house and brought the street down with their behaviour. It wouldnt surprise me if they had been evicted due to similar problems in the past. I grew up on a council estate so i have seen my fair share of families like this.I think your parents neighbours are related to my neighbours, sound exactly the same

I keep telling my parents that they will get evicted soon enough. Last month the police shut off the entire road as we saw the woman be handcuffed and taken away. The police later came round and asked my parents if they had seen what had happened, some fight again from what I gather. The same thing happened twice last year. When I popped over earlier my dad said that the guy had been punched right out after getting aggressive with the other family and the police had yet again been called. A neighbour said that before my parents moved in there was a family down the other end that had been moved out because they were dealing drugs. Its mental, the houses average around 230k-300k(which is a lot up here) and literally a minute walk from millionaires row, the majority of the street are professionals. There have been 3 houses put up for sale in the street since they moved in. Why the council are putting them in these houses I will never know.I never saw myself moving until ‘they’ moved in, every day there is somethingzero respect for anything or anyone. They’ve turned a once lovely cul-de-sac into an eye sore. Children are being dragged up & run riot. Parents are parasites just bumming off the benefit system as a life style choice. My husband & I have lowered ourselves to losing our temper in the street with them for all the good it does
Just keep reporting I guess & hope they get evicted. I feel like they’ve turned me into a moany old bagI keep telling my parents that they will get evicted soon enough. I know!! It didnt bother me too much at first but its just getting worse, I literally had kids just walking around my car earlier as i was trying to park where they were playing football and I ended up running over a pair of their plimsols as they just stared at me as I was asking them to move them as I had to park there lolJust keep reporting I guess & hope they get evicted.
