Heaton Park was absolutely electric last night.
I think the only time we queued was to leave, and even then that only took us half an hour. The toilet and all the bar queues moved quickly & there are portaloos dotted about along the walking route too!
I wish I could relive it.

Really impressed with how smooth that was actually for ticketmaster. I panicked and just pressed anything and ended up spending nearly £600 on 2 tickets 😬 (on hubby’s credit card!!) might not make it if he finds out 😆

I have huge fondness for Oasis and the Gallaghers, Liam especially. I was a bit of an on/off fan in the 90s but 'What's the Story Morning Glory' was a really important album for me. 1995 was not a great year in my life but that album helped me through a lot. 'Live Forever' is also one of my all time favourite songs.

I only saw Oasis once, in July 2000 at Wembley Stadium. It was the Saturday night which apparently has gone down in history as the worst Oasis gig ever, after the triumphant Friday gig! Liam was certainly not in the best shape and was swearing at the crowd constantly, but I still enjoyed the gig.

I've seen Liam solo twice, the first was the free gig for NHS staff at the O2 in August 2021, and it was one of the best gigs of my life. Liam was in brilliant form and the combination of hearing all those almighty classics, along with the joy and relief that live music was finally back after COVID, was a heady high indeed 🤩

My second Liam gig was the Royal Albert Hall in March last year, also great but not quite matching up to the highs of the NHS gig. I haven't seen Noel live yet but will do in December and looking forward to that, it will be interesting to see how that experience compares to my Liam ones!

I've moved up 20,000 places in 90 minutes. By this rate I will be at front of the Q at 9pm

Where are we all looking for presale/sale? I’m assuming that it’s either gonna be Ticketmaster or gigsntours?
Age is a great thing sometimes, I’ve seen them 4 times. My stepdaughter thinks I’m the coolest person ever

Who’s got Liam tickets then? So hyped for everyone going. It makes so much sense that he‘s doing a Definitely Maybe tour because it’s the only Oasis album with just his vocals all the way through.

They were on old TOTP this evening with Some Might Say, and it reminded me of what an exciting time it was to be a fan.

From when Whatever came out in December 94 to Some Might Say in April 95, it was like this really amazing buzz between the first two albums, as more and more people started to get into them.

Then of course by summer 95 we had Roll With It, the chart battle with Blur, and they were huge.

That moment just before though, it was something special.

European dates next year I reckon, seen them twice in Europe. It’s good but the crowds are just different. Remember this French woman having a go at me for cheering and jumping about 😂 got a feeling we might get knebworth too next August as it’ll be 30 years since they last did it and Liam always said he wanted to do seven nights when oasis first played there

Wasted best part of the day on this. Got kicked out after a couple of hours then got 2 standing in basket for £216, more than I wanted to pay, but just buffering then price jumped to £357. Not paying that. Noel and Liam could have capped this if they gave a shit about the fans. Paul Heaton capped tickets at £30 a few years ago as he wanted all fans to afford it. Couldn’t have prevented the resale shysters but I would have had a bit more respect for them if they had stopped Ticketmaster profiteering. I am done.
Yeah, I am actually less annoyed at ordinary people trying to make a bit of profit than ticketmaster. It’s poor form and I had some hope that Noel and Liam would have been better than this.

Well the paps are saying the Gallagher brothers will be kept apart during the shows apart from on stage, so it’s even more clear to see it’s just on Noel’s terms to make back the divorce money he lost. Which makes yesterday’s shambles even funnier, all the money folk will pay to see an over rated band with 0 chemistry! And to be fair I don’t mind a few of their songs, but by god i listened to Definitely maybe the other day & it’s vastly overrated! The 2nd album is better but Wonderwall & Dont look back in anger are way overplayed now I always turn them off.

Love them!! Finsbury Park 2002 was the only time I saw them live. Always preferred Noel to Liam and I’ve seen him live three times, fourth to come near Xmas. He always belts out a few oasis tunes and that’s when the fans really go crazy!

Ah 1996. Two things

1. Noel only turned up at the Late Late after 11am (it is or was at least back then a live chat show) as his mammy wanted him to be on the Late Late

2.God be with the days when members of the Late Late Show audience could stick their hand up and ask a question to an A-Lister. Viewers were allowed phone in as well. RIP Gay Byrne.

Well worth it on several levels
The episode where Peggy and Paul are on and Paul says he’s not jealous of the boys because neither of them can drive 🤣

Love oasis and love this thread
....... there's something about their music that literally just takes you back to another place, wherever you are, you go back to the 90s when things felt so free compared to now.
Nothing can beat it!!!!
Their music is literally magic
Yes. Takes me back to my London days!

So after 25 mins of queuing to get on the website, it’s just crashed when I’ve tried to get into the waiting room, what a fucking shambles this is.

It seems like the strongest rumour so far, apparently there’ll be an announcement on Tuesday. And as far as I know, neither Liam or Noel are scheduled to be on tour next summer, so, dates-wise, it is a realistic possibility.

I hope it’s true, it would just be lovely to know they’ve reconciled, even if it is just for the money 🤣
Hi lovely, I saw this in the Saturday night thread, IF it happens, it will be just about the money, one thing I'd never do is reconcile with my brother, I'd rather be skint!
