I think Niomi dancing round, screeching about 'smoothie bowl weather' was the nail in influencers coffin for me. It's just all so vapid.

Wow, criticise YouTubers fair enough but trashing a University with thousands of students...

Just to prove that we exist, hi I'm a solicitor who has a law degree (and masters) from UWE oh and I know someone who has recently been made a judge, who also graduated with a law degree from UWE.

The longer I've watched Niomi the more disingenuous I find her. The organisation thing is a good example, she really seems like she has her shit together at first, but actually you realise she is late for meetings constantly, misses meeting her friends because she forgot, vlogs for ages whilst uber drivers are outside waiting for her, skips socialising because she "has" to wake up early and cram in a workout before she edits her unfinished video, everything to do with her move to India...

The sustainability rubbish is also a perfect example (fretting about plastic straws whilst taking countless flights a year, often for pointless launches and brand experiences).

I also think she is a bit full of it. Last year she was talking about daily steps and said her daily average is "about 12,000" but then made a huge deal about walking to one of her meetings. In the body tracking video she said she wouldn't have gotten many steps if she hadn't done a run. I just highly doubt someone who doesn't make a point of walking to places easily hits 12,000 on average. She would never admit something that makes her sound less than perfect.

In the span of one video she will say she's uncomfortable cooking with a vegan cheese sauce mix because she prefers everything from scratch, and then plug a tiramisu-flavoured protein drink. She wants to keep her relationship private and off-camera, until she gets fawning comments about how hot Joe is, then suddenly he's everywhere.

Am I the only person who has never had a smoothie bowl? What’s the appeal? Does one eat it with a spoon or straw? 😂 Can’t be anymore exciting than having a yogurt surely?

"Joe's decided to ask me some questions" -- Really Nimbobs, really? Did he? Did this idea come from that ball of fluff inside of his head?

"Spontaneous Q&A completely planned by Joe" -- Am I the only one who doesn't buy this at all?

"What's winding me up in lockdown or in general?" -- Are you implying that you're not locking down? Surely those 2 should be the same thing. (The answer is that she's fed up of lockdown and misses her family.)

Them starting by the "dreamy" lake and walking is so cringe. Oh, now they're by trees.

"What do you miss most about India?" "The buzz." -- This is coming from the same girl who was complaining about all of the tooting. I suppose that's all she remembers.

Them laying in the grass with Niomi glancing at Joey through her sunglasses is even more cringe. I get a "forced romantic" vibe.

"I've learned a lot in lockdown. Particularly about myself. I'm always on the go. Every weekend, it's always very busy as I tend to cram-pack our weekend. I've learned how to just switch off/calm down. I've enjoyed it in a weird way." -- I'm worried if Niomi slows down anymore than she already does. That'd cross her across the line from mind-numbingly stupid to whatever the phase after that is.

"I like going fast and slow with you" says Joe, then Niomi giggles. --

Niomi can't wait to get back to London -- I live in West London, I don't want her back. It's girls like her that are my least favourite part of London, genuinely.

It's so clear she's missed the UK and is so relieved to be back from India. She goes on about Suffolk / Devon, etc. and traveling there while international travel isn't allowed / even after as she probs won't be comfy. She just can't wait to "explore more of the UK". This betch really got everything she wanted, huh?

The NHS is her hero.

"Favourite spice?" "For cooking with -- oooh --" -- No, Niomi, for swallowing whole you daft prick

Running is her favourite thing.

Her best habit is cleaning up while she's cooking... (she came up with that quickly)

Her worst habit took longer to come up with.

Joe's baked beans is her fave meal he makes.

She's 27! My goodness! She seems so clueless, she tries to act much older than she is.

"We moved to India this year!" -- barely, darling.

I can't imagine being locked down with either one of them, Jesus.

She has such a weird relationship with food. She always claims perfectly normal portion sizes are huge. In her vlog she said they were full from brunch which was just tofu, mushrooms, 1 slice of bread and a bit of spinach. Joe was clearly hungry as he had a second bowl of soup which she just had to comment on.

I couldnt live with her, she seems nice and the restrictions she puts on herself for her diet wouldnt bother me its the needing to comment on what others eat which would piss me off. Why is she always shocked that Joe someone who is taller and broader then her needs more food. I won't even go into the strict meal plan

Funny, he is good looking but I don't find him that attractive? He reminds me of my first boyfriend when I was 16. He went to private school and had that kind of yuppy look, as did his friends.
I find him very hot - but boring af. They’re perfect for each other! 😂

"I just wish we'd had more time to get organised" says the one who spent all of December getting facials and barely mentioning the move.

Joe does a lot for her to keep her happy - surprising her with the hotel room, sending her gifts every day he's away for work. I wonder if she does similar things for him?

Actually there are a few things wrong with peanut butter, it's high in goitrogens so not good for thyroid, also one of the nuts highest in omega 6 which creates an uneven balance. It's also inflammatory, it's a nut that is very high in mold as well, and high in saturated fat. (though some saturated fat in the diet is of course fine!) Niomi probably knows this due to her orthorexia. The fact that she made her birthday cake a clean one.. I'm into a whole food paleo lifestyle but even I will have a fricken sugary trifle on my birthday lol. Also Joe does really act like he is lacking B vitamins, very disorientated.
I mean okay. But in normal quantities, it is fine. Just like any other food.

It brings me so much joy to think of all the times Joey was at the airport for his travels or in an exotic country for work and stuffed some burgers and fries down his throat followed by chocolate and cookies, then hastily shove a mint in house mouth before going home to Nimbobs and pretending he had a kale salad and fennel tea.

I’m sorry but it’s not bashing Niomi or any students to say that attending a RG uni positively benefits your employment opportunities, it’s just common fucking sense. That’s not to say that you can’t be successful, but if two people with otherwise identical CVs applied for the same job, one with a degree from a Russell Group, one not, 99% of employers would take the RG grad.

I have a first from a non RG uni, and I’ve done fine for myself, but I know those that went to Oxbridge, Durham etc will have better opportunities.

Obviously Niomi is also hindered, not only by the fact that she didn’t go to a brilliant uni, but that she’s got the personality of a brick.

I'm pretty sure that's why we all find him less attractive than before ( he's not my type but he had a light to him that's lost) and that's clearly because he's underfed. Remember that time she made daal or curry and they are it.. with a spoon. Like no rice? No bread ? No grain?
I'm all for healthy living and being conscious of what you put in your body, but the man is tall and he used to be kinda build... even for her.. having a little of extra fat helps keeping your face youthful and your hair healthy. I don't know I'm rambling but I'm pretty sure that's what happens with Ali and Lydia. She starved him while starving herself and now he's a shadow of his former self.

The Q&A. ‘So this is a totally spontaneous video, completely planned by Joe’. So is it spontaneous, or planned? She’s so dense.

Why is she so obsessed with the time, it was literally only 30 seconds slower than her PB? And she didn't stop when she saw Joe was injured? 😕

"I'll just have to put Joe's teabag back in the box..." Like WOW, the saltiness! Do they have to match every single drink and snack?

It all makes me think of that video of Marcus talking about his borderline eating disorder (when he was with her), and he said that his family were commenting that he looked gaunt and ill.

That's what worries me about Niomi freaking out about him eating toast alongside his breakfast, or an extra bowl of soup. Do they usually/does she expect them to eat exactly the same things all the time (even down to thir cups of tea)? I don't know if that diet is enough for even herself, let alone a man twice her size. My boyfriends not much bigger than I am but even we have quite different portion sizes.
I always knew she was off and a bit obsessed with food, but what shook me the most when he was making them a smoothie during the quarantine, and he constantly asked for her approval - for an example, he asked her if she is ok with the amount of cacao he will add in and she played it off like "yeah it's super fine with me, why are you even asking me?".

Its also making me think about when I was in a similar headspace with food as she is, I constantly bugged my poor BF for the amount he ate - even if he is twice or three times my size. And the reason was simple - I was still hungry, and the sweet smell of toast made me crazy LOL. Probably one of the reasons why I unsubscribed - she is triggering AF.

Classic Niomi in her latest video:

"4 scoops? That seems like a lot for 1 person... I'll put 4 scoops for Joe and myself"

Had to check out the vlog to see for myself the tea/toast interaction and wow. She is not right with food.

I’ve battled an eating disorder for many years. I’m in recovery now but one thing that I see in Niomi that’s troubling are the rules she has surrounding food. Her attitude of “safe” and “not” safe foods is very similar to the disordered behaviors with anorexia.

There is actually a new eating disorder that’s been founded called “orthorexia” surrounding clean eating: https://www.nationaleatingdisorders.org/learn/by-eating-disorder/other/orthorexia

I don’t want to say she has an eating disorder because from experience I know that’s a very serious label and accusation to throw around, but her relationship and control issues with food are red flags.

Also, Joe looked totally ticked off with her during that whole exchange.

She's so embarrassing! She needs to stop saying how surprised she is to see an interest in veganism in India! Does she think veganism only exists for wealthy white London influencers buying activated charcoal in Planet Organic?
