Just posting to say that hubby had ordered ours via Shopto months ago. He checked again on Wed night for an update or despatch info and… nothing!

They still hadn’t taken the money and all references to it had vanished. 😡

Luckily he found that Smyths toys had them in and ordered and paid for one straight away, which we collected yesterday lunchtime 🙌

We spent last night playing new Mariokart, reliving a bit of my childhood playing Gameboy Dr Mario, and hours lost on the GameCube version of Zelda. 🙌

My dream of getting mine today has been dashed. DPD hasn’t even picked it up yet.

On a better note, Happy Switchmas Eve 🎉
Am same as you, it's dpd it's coming with an is still sitting at waiting on parcel status, am just hoping it comes relevantly early so I can at least set it up before I go to work an get some stuff transferred over, also maybe gonna nip into Smyth's tonight or tomorrow morning an pick up runes so I can enjoy that over the weekend

Happy switchmas eve 😃

Yeah I'm pretty sure all UK retailers won't ship till today - not worth falling foul of Nintendo's rules. I got my dispatch email really early, though, so I'm hoping for release day delivery.

My accessories are coming via Royal Mail, though, so God knows when they'll arrive!

My DPD tracking says mine will be delivered today, but I'm not gonna assume anything. Items can still be delayed at this stage.

My controller and carry case are due to be delivered today by Royal Mail. The tracking shows they're at my local delivery office down the road, so they should arrive, but they're not much use without the console itself!

Amazon says mine is arriving Saturday, I must have done something stupid at the checkout and selected the Saturday 🤦‍♀️,
it doesn’t look like I can bring the date forward without cancelling and reordering, I’ve got some gift vouchers going towards it so I guess I just have to hope it’s not late on Saturday

I don’t really have time to play it until Saturday, but with everyone receiving theirs I wish it was here now

I've been enjoying my switch, it's such a difference not hearing it trying take off compared to my switch one, an then magnets are amazing

I've never been one to really read reviews, unless they get paid goodies they just bitch an when they get giving tons of stuff they kiss it's ass, an for once am glad there was no media switches given out, maybe it's me but am sick of these places getting stuff just so they can write a review then ditch it, cause you know none of them are gamers an will be playing it outside of the ten minutes to be able to do a review, so good for Nintendo for blocking the switch with a day one update that didn't realise till it's launch so that we all got to experience it at the same time

Not sure if you're aware, but Animal Crossing has its own transfer tool to move data from one Switch to another. You can't do it any other way, so be careful wiping any AC data from your Switch without using it first.

The tool worked well for me when I upgraded my original Switch to an OLED Switch a year ago. Pretty sure the same tool can be used to move AC save data from a Switch to a Switch 2. I used it because my island took so long and I catalogued pretty much every single item in the game (including all the colour variants) so I couldn't face starting over.

Always nice to pass a console onto a new gamer haha! I think I'm either gonna put my Switch next to my Switch 2 (both docked by my TV), or I'll use my Switch as a purely handheld console, while keeping my Switch 2 mainly docked. If it was just a standard Switch I wouldn't care, but it's the TotK Zelda edition, so I still want to use it rather than letting it gather dust while I move all data to my Switch 2. Decisions, decisions!
I’ve used the tool twice, it works great.

Little Miss I don’t want a Switch 2 joined the AO preorder list. They called me one lunchtime and I snapped it up. Ours is due on Thursday, the tracking says DPD have it already.

Currently having the great debate of do I get a switch (either the normal or oled) or wait until the new one comes out/more info is released. I've got the lite Currently but I've been wanting to get one of the others to replace it for a while.
I’d definitely hold out if I were you. I know there’s a bit of uncertainty about how backwards compatibility will work but most likely the majority of switch games will work on it. And then you’ll have access to all the Switch 2 games that come out too so, it’s a win win 😊

I'm surprised Nintendo allowed this keycard games thing. The waste of plastic isn't surprising from a Japanese company (can't even buy a rice ball from 7/11 without them sticking it in a bag like it's the 90s) but it's none of the advantages of physical media with all the disadvantages of a code. I'd be annoyed if I got one without knowing.

I got a dispatch email 😊
I mean, it probably won’t move for days because of the bank holiday but regardless, I am hyped.
I also got my dispatch email today plus money taken so getting excited 😊

Wondering if there might be a chance it comes earlier, they have locked the consoles behind a day one update patch that doesn't realise till release day so even having it early means you can't do a thing with it, its a good idea since I've seen so many with theirs already an its stopping them from getting any gameplay out, but also means there's less stress on deliveries keeping up with demand if they just start delivery in stages from monday, mines is coming with DPD

I clocked a criminal amount of hours on it during lockdown, i enjoy it enough now as I have all of the materials and the museum is full so no pressure to complete stuff and just do random stuff now and then.

My little one loves hello kitty island as its similar-ish vibes but a lot more interactive stuff to do

Most professional places delayed putting up a review until they had the chance to put it through it's places. The guardian rushed out their review based on testing the system months ago before games and patches were finalised

He complains that it's not radically new, what did he expect? It's 8ish times more powerful. You just have to look at cyberpunk to see what a huge upgrade it is.

The Switch 2 is estimated to have 3.1 TFLOPs when docked and 1.7 TFLOPs when handheld, compared to the original Switch's 0.4 TFLOPs docked and under 0.2 TFLOPs in handheld mode. This represents a substantial increase in graphical processing power.
