The Dennis content his past week has been fantastic!! I forgot how good it was during that time and how much I loved Dennis!
I didn't know that old eps of Eastenders were shown so I've gone back to his very first episode and been watching them at warp speed. He and Sharon are still in brother/sister territory atm.

I can really see why I was insane for him 20 years ago. There's just something about him. Being kind of shy and awkward IRL seemingly, just makes him hotter tbh.

I read he's dancing to KISS this weekend? Praying for full make-up.

Im so glad those episodes have been on drama lately so I now have them recorded 🤣. Unfortunately he's now hooking up with zoe - it's so wrong! But if memory serves, Dennis will be back secretly getting it on with Sharon again soon!

I'm ready to fight Shirley Ballas after that feedback for Nigel tonight. Poor man looked on the verge of tears.

I'd guess that his quieter nature and being quite dry and self-deprecating (while probably being very aware of the ridiculousness of the whole Strictly experience) has been misconstrued by some people as him being mardy.

I'm sure he couldn't care less and probably isn't even aware of the stories.

If people want a performing monkey with nothing except air and wee sweetie mice in between their ears, they have Bobby.

I think the judges are too harsh when it comes to criticism of him. Others make mistakes and are told it's fine.

I really felt for him last night. I think he and Katya felt they had done well, until the comments from the judges started, and they certainly deserved to be a lot closer to other scores on the leaderboard.

It smacks of jealousy to me which seems really unlikely in context but that’s what it comes across as. Very, very strange and unfair.
Yeah Its definitely a consious choice

We had two Halloween themed cha cha's this week both got a 30 so its an equal comparison that were given -

Every thing Bobby did right was applauded and met with a smile and such joy from Shirley

Every thing Nigel did wrong was pointed out and met with a face of disgust/disappointment/aggression from Shirley

Both dances were worthy of the same mark, no better no worse (we are told) but look at how one contestant was treated compared to the other for ultimatly the same outcome .

Ahhhhhh I've found my people. So, fun fact time. I had SUCH a thing for him circa 2003 - I actually never really watched EE, just caught my Mum watching it one night and was like HOT DAMN WHO IS THAT GUY and became obsessed. Back in those days there was BBC forums for each flagship show (think Casualty, Eastenders etc) and I started a forum for Nigel Harman (called Nigel Harman Online) and basically recruited a tonne of equally as obsessed Nigel fans over to the forum. As EE became more popular, fucking tonnes of people flocked to the forum/website - we were the top search for anything Nigel Harman on Google, Jonathan Ross mentioned the forum on his TV show, we had a shout out in Heat - Nigel knew about it, and we spoke on the phone a number of times but never got his personal number :ROFLMAO: we used to know exclusives and stuff, like we knew some of the storylines and stuff in advance. It was heady heady days :ROFLMAO:

The forum had tonnes of people on it, but then I went to uni and I sort of lost track of Nigel and someone else took it over and I think monetised it (back in those days nothing was really monetised like it is now) but I don't think it exists now. There were regulars who used to screenshot like every second Nigel was on the screen and we had huge databases of images :ROFLMAO:

I followed him on IG long before Strictly and knew all about the meditation and Casualty etc but would never admit it was me who had the website - maybe I should now (he was always AMAZING about it, so honoured but a bit embarrassed that people found him attractive)

That's amazing. I never visited the forum but I used to read Heat every week so I'm sure I probably saw the shout out. Heat back then was a great source for Nigel interviews and pics, they were obsessed with him too back then.

It's funny - sometimes you look back at people you used to fancy and wonder what it was you found so attractive about them in the first place... but with Nigel I so so get it and I'm definitely developing an obsession again 😆

I believe he's leaving Casualty? Anyone know what he has in the pipeline afterwards? More TV I hope.

Does anyone know when Dennis and Sharon get back together on classic EE I feel like its brewing, I think having their steamy relationship back on our screens every afternoon might cheer us all up a bit.

Also Nigel and June Brown 💖 every single scene with those two melts my heart, Dot loves him sm
There was the stuff with him getting jealous about her new boyfriend which was September/October and then Dennis left for a while (after a chat with Dot of course ❤). Then he came back late November and their affair started shortly after that. So classic Eastenders should be reaching the jealousy storyline by the new year I think.

I can’t wait to get to the Christmas Day episodes; it’s been nearly two decades and I still think of the Xmas Day trailer teasing the Sharon/Dennis/Zoe love triangle every time I hear She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5.

Nigel and June were always excellent on screen together. That first scene in the cafe where he chases down the youths who stole her handbag was the scene that made me a Dennis fan. He was the son Dot wished she had and he was the mum he needed in his life. Any Dennis and Dot scene was guaranteed to be wonderful.

So are we all gutted then? I know I am 😪. Its been so lovely having him on TV every week - something I'm sure we've all dreamed about for years! Now we don't know when we're going to get to see him again and it's a real shame that he had to withdraw because of an injury - the worst way to go out 😪 .
Definitely still gutted over here. I'd always had Nigel in the "will never do Strictly" box so when the press rumours started about him saying yes, it was a wonderful surprise and I remember posting on the Strictly thread how disappointed I would be if it turned out not to be true.

You're so right that it has been lovely having him on TV each week and, since he's someone who's usually quite private, it's been great to see him getting the chance to remind people what a charismatic, funny and all-round nice person he is. Katya was the pro I was rooting for him to be paired with and she was exactly the right choice for him. There are some Strictly pairs where it's impossible for me to imagine they might ever have ended up dancing with anybody else and that's Nigel and "Kat" for me.

Hopefully his recovery is restful and speedy, and I'm positive we'll at least see him and Katya on ITT and back for a little twirl in the final (even if he's sitting down while she spins around him). It's just going to take some time to get over the disappointment of everything they - and we - have missed out on. But like I said on Friday, hopefully this experience leads to lot more opportunities for him. He's got a lasting friendship with Katya out of his time on the show and if it could lead to a new role on the West End too then that might just help ease the pain - both physical and emotional - of the way his time on Strictly has ended.

(Sorry to derail into Albert Square)
Said it before will say it again, Tish has never had the same chemistry with anyone that she had with Nigel. Never gotten over Dennis dying 😭 Eastenders has more revived corpses than The Walking Dead, if Dennis/Nigel ever rocked back up in the square there would be no. questions. asked. 😍🥰😄
Never apologise for Dennis Rickman/CEE chat !
its definitely not derailing for us to have a discussion about anything and EVERYTHING thats Mr Harman 🤗

Im currently obsessed with going down the YouTube rabbit hole of watching the two hander Ep's between Nigel and Leslie Grantham honestly they are just so slick together
i guess I was to young in a sense to appreciate it back in the day but now through more adult eyes it sort of feels like a master class without sounding to ott.

Ooooh I belong in here! I've been a fan since his EE days, seen him in many different theatre shows, met him a good few times along the way and now forcing myself to watch Strictly for him!

Also, this episode was on drama today - his Dennis days 🥰
I've gone back to the very first episode he appeared on Drama. Going to relive my 2003 obsession with him right from the beginning.
