Gutted.
I normally decorate the thread on a Saturday night with something to get us in the mood (usually Nige looking hot, bless him) so this is just a heartbreaking end to a glorious strictly journey but will leave it here for those who don't do the SCD socials 
So sad to see him leave. I hope he is okay, that's the main thing.
So are we all gutted then? I know I am 
. Its been so lovely having him on TV every week - something I'm sure we've all dreamed about for years! Now we don't know when we're going to get to see him again and it's a real shame that he had to withdraw because of an injury - the worst way to go out .

Definitely still gutted over here. I'd always had Nigel in the "will never do Strictly" box so when the press rumours started about him saying yes, it was a wonderful surprise and I remember posting on the Strictly thread how disappointed I would be if it turned out not to be true.So are we all gutted then? I know I am
You're so right that it has been lovely having him on TV each week and, since he's someone who's usually quite private, it's been great to see him getting the chance to remind people what a charismatic, funny and all-round nice person he is. Katya was the pro I was rooting for him to be paired with and she was exactly the right choice for him. There are some Strictly pairs where it's impossible for me to imagine they might ever have ended up dancing with anybody else and that's Nigel and "Kat" for me.
Hopefully his recovery is restful and speedy, and I'm positive we'll at least see him and Katya on ITT and back for a little twirl in the final (even if he's sitting down while she spins around him). It's just going to take some time to get over the disappointment of everything they - and we - have missed out on. But like I said on Friday, hopefully this experience leads to lot more opportunities for him. He's got a lasting friendship with Katya out of his time on the show and if it could lead to a new role on the West End too then that might just help ease the pain - both physical and emotional - of the way his time on Strictly has ended.

It has taken the spark out of Strictly for me. I was hoping he’d absolutely smash the Charleston and get the first 40. Watching last nights show tonight, with a heavy heart!
I just basically had it on in the background, only turned it up when he was interviewed. He was self deprecating and modest as always, but it seems like he really enjoyed his Strictly experience.I didn’t even watch it last night. Just couldn’t be arsed now
Gutted he had to leave, but at least he never faced the dance off and we can all live with the very real hope he might‘ve won. As others said, really hope this leads to new and better roles for him too.
I tuned in purely to see his little spot but I have zero interest in strictly without him. I loathe that programme so for me to tune in every week shows my love for the man

Does anyone know when Dennis and Sharon get back together on classic EE I feel like its brewing, I think having their steamy relationship back on our screens every afternoon might cheer us all up a bit.

The DM really have it in for him, no idea what that's all about but with the definite undermarking that's gone on (I never watch Strictly but had made an exception this year for the lovely Nigel) it all feels a bit like an agenda somehow...which is odd. Could it be purely sour grapes from the Strictly press machine because of the tour? (I would have considered going to it purely to see him, if he'd been on it). That seems incredibly petty though.

So classic Eastenders should be reaching the jealousy storyline by the new year I think.I can’t wait to get to the Christmas Day episodes; it’s been nearly two decades and I still think of the Xmas Day trailer teasing the Sharon/Dennis/Zoe love triangle every time I hear She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5.
Nigel and June were always excellent on screen together. That first scene in the cafe where he chases down the youths who stole her handbag was the scene that made me a Dennis fan. He was the son Dot wished she had and he was the mum he needed in his life. Any Dennis and Dot scene was guaranteed to be wonderful.
