I have written up a Wiki for this thread and asked the mods to put it up.

I walk round a lake with my dog and several benches are close to the edge like this... its usually treacherous to walk nearby the front of these even though they have pavement flags in front.. I've wondered about the footprints etc there but it seems nothing was picked up on .

The police asked to keep a look out for the clothes she was wearing. Well wouldn't they still be on her if she had drowned?

There’s every chance that she was able to struggle out of her coat once she fell into the water, especially if it wasn’t zipped up.

You’d hope with her phone they’d just be able to get in to her fb, but she likely has face or fingerprint id on the phone

I would think the police probably have her phone, and have probably told the family not to access her facebook account and make changes to settings.

One of them was fairly near. But regardless, Nikki was not at the bench when the witness found the dog, so any CCTV could be useful.

No but Nicola’s phone, the harness and Willow were near to the bench. So either Nicola was nearby, or someone else put them there, it’s why I asked about how near that camera would’ve been to the bench.

My watch is fully waterproof to 100m but yes I wonder if that means it would still emit signal/tracking ability? Or just referencing that the actual watch would still work? Regardless, if there's been no sync from it, it points even more conclusively that it's been submerged.

is yours a fitbit? Mine is an arse to sync even when i’m next to it so i’d imagine the chances of it getting to sync now are pretty slim. It may have had a chance at syncing earlier in the search but I’m sure they say theres also a time limit they can be under for

No. It meant issues which could be anything. From a ball to a stick to the dog being out of her sight to it chasing an animal to it.. chrissake what else does my dog get distracted about? Well. Anything really.

But if they needed one they would get one surely is what I’m saying. If they needed to get in to have a look wouldn’t they have ?

They would need evidence to support the need for a warrant they can’t just say right we’ll search that house. Some people do offer to have their homes and gardens etc searched to look for any signs that the missing person may have been there at some point but this requires the property owners permission and they are within their rights to refuse it if it’s their private property.

I don't think the time frame would work for that. I think the watch would stop working long before a body surfaced.

Says in the DM there is one part of the park u can exit onto the a5/a6 where there is no cctv

It takes you on to the road that runs right through the village, I believe she would have been seen if this was the case, police have already studied door camera footage apparently.

Depends on the design of the weir. It might only let through 2" of water at the top and anything bigger wont pass.

@avabella just had a look on my fitbit app it says water resistant up to 50 meters. If your device gets wet, remove and dry completely after your activity.

Heart breaking this was needed. The poor guy must be a mess.

The partner didn’t interview well his body language was odd to me but I’m between what the police are saying and foul play but not a stranger someone known to her. I just do think it’s all odd to drown in the water when there was a dry dog, no ball, a regular place.

I noticed all the comments have been turned off on sky news Facebook of the partners interview.

From a domestic abuse background what I will say is what a friend or hubbys friend says about a couples relationship. It doesn’t mean a lot, I’m not highlighting murder just domestic abuse in a relationship in general. As most victims of DV never show or reveal anything even to their own family or friends until the relationship is over or want to leave.

We see cases where even after decades of marriage, the couple having good finances, good character, careers “close knit family”,it can happen. When either wants to leave or someone else is involved is usually the trigger.

The threads are moving super fast so there’s a lot to read through, and to be honest there isn’t a lot to go on so a lot of it will be going in circles until new evidence is found or they find Nicola.




I really hope we’re not looking at another Chris Watts but the whole thing was very odd.

How would you come to that conclusion. Evidence against CW was overwhelmingly obvious from the start.
