Not sure why she felt the need to post about that, happens to me all the time!
seriously the “humble” brags on there are unreal!
Its just so hard to fit them all in the tripple garage darling!

Anytime I take a look i come away with the impression that the whole of the UK is awash with families who despise one another its ptetty depressing when the typical answer to any in law issues is to cut them off completely. If my husband or I ever gave the other an ultimatum like that i supect our marriage would be over.

It's bizarre the people that support Mumsnet and are happy to hand over £50. Then they compare it to Netflix and the guardian who have huge costs to create and licence content. Advertising revenue has really dropped but it's probably still covering the costs to run a forum and they've had a decade of making a fortune. Bricks and mortar business are having it tough at the moment. But it's ridiculous a tech business going broke a few weeks into a recession after making millions a year.

This user is even advocating for advertising fraud 🤦‍♀️ strange for a site that deletes so much to leave this post there

This Justine is really making a tit of herself, no wonder they've had so many hacks. She's really making things look worse with her incompetent posts.

I'm assuming they don't employ any php programmers or the like.
They have a Dev team of 12 😆 apparently. What on earth do they do all day?

The whole DH, DS, DD 🤮 goes through me
I was showing my partner a thread on MN one day and he said 'WTF is all that DS, DD stuff?' He was absolutely baffled and thinks most of the posters on there are batshit. He probably has a point! I think he prefers Tattle because I'm often laughing when reading it, as opposed to MN which irritates me in the exact same way as idiots do on our local Facebook pages 😆

Of course if I posted the above on MN I'd be told that him not liking the site was a sign that he was controlling and a misogynist, and that clearly I should 'LTB'!

There's currently a thread on AIBU about showering with just water, no soap. I mean, is this honestly what people do?! How would you even get yourself clean?

Did anyone see someone starting a thread saying they missed Bluntness and then someone came on called Bluntness101 pretending to be Bluntness?
How could anyone miss Bluntness, they’re spouting crap on every thread that’s posted 🙄 I wish I’d seen that haha

I have never spat my tea all over the keyboard unlike some of the posters who started to come on.

Remember the Maui Haylie, a spoilt princess type poster ( made it up more like) , posters wanted that dross to go to classics , it was not funny , memorable or classic .

That’s the type of poster Justine wants now.

18 champagne flutes? I don’t even have 18 assorted glasses. How annoying that must have been! I’d chuck one in the fire after I use it.
Except it would just bounce back off the gas bars.
haha it was annoying! We were ‘the greedy’ couple who asked for money, purely because in my culture its tradition to gift with gold/jewellery which we have NO use for and it would have ended up more expensive for the guests which I would have hated.

But obviously some weren’t happy with the money requests 🤷🏽‍♀️

me personally, I love money requests,
Makes it so much easier and I don’t have to stress about what to get.

I hate admitting it, but I'm an ex-mnetter, my kids are older now so don't go on there much anymore, even less since finding the continual deleting of threads about instagrammers so tedious.

You have to be kidding me 😮. As a former software dev I'd be horrified to put my name to that site as a developer!

Have you ever read such a load of fawning bullshit in all your life as this post from Beefcurtains79?

‘I’m going to say this in general rather than address individual posters who’ve bleated about fawning or crowning etc

AF is a regular yup.

She’s ‘known’ yup

She also puts way way way more than most of you will ever know. I don’t know ANY of you bleaters, you’ve probably contributed nothing of any value to anyone. Not paid in, not given back. Nothing.

So before you get all mean girls, bitter and jealous take a looong look in the mumsnet mirror.

Do you pm people asking them just how they are? Do you ask people going through hell if they’re ok? Or congratulate them on getting out of an abusive relationship? Offer them a manly punch on the shoulder and a chin up love?

No? Then pipe the fuck down.

Af can stand up for herself, absolutely but she’s kind and caring to others, struggling Internet strangers, and if she’s struggling, ffs.

Ask yourself if your mean little comments are of any help at all.

If you have nothing constructive to say, say nothing.

Wow. And just to clarify, it’s others who are ‘mean girls’?’

Which roughly translates as, yes AnyFucker is long term poster and part of the Mumsnet Hierarchy and inner circle, and therefore can do what she likes and you lot aren’t part of our gang so why don’t you fuck off.
That’s the comment that finished me off and made me vow never to look on Mumsnet again 😂

That thread is quite astonishing. The OP earns 50k but considers that a low salary. She has a property portfolio. She owns a flat in central London. But mummy and daddy are spending all their wealth on luxury holidays and it's not fair. They should give her more money, not waste it on having a good time. She sounds like a petulant child.
Oohh how dare they spend their hard earned savings enjoying their retirement, the bloody cheek of it.
I know a couple of people who know that everything will be left to them once their parents pop their cloggs and its actually quite upsetting to hear them speak like that.
Imagine going to the will reading..."And to Battersea Dogs Home I leave my entire estate. To my only daughter, I leave you my collection of antique China dolls." 🤣🤣

There was a thread about en suites where someone described having a poo in one as the same as doing a dump in the corner of your living room. Mnetters never poo obviously
I would reply back..."never took a dump in my living room so can't relate."

The HATE you would get if you mentioned the environmental damage of those god awful balloon releases....

"My kid tragically died. LETS KILL A FEW INNOCENT BIRDS AND HORSES DOWN WITH IT!!! And dont u DARE say anything because MY CHILD IS DEAD!!!! I simply MUST have the spectacle of a few balloons disappearing into the sky as a fitting tribute. LITTER AND DEAD ANIMALS YAY"

Paraphrasing, obvs.

From my lurking, I've seen that you can at least mention the damage they cause nowadays more without being screeched at by said brigade of MN Royalty.
I have been there on those threads, so awful. Let’s kill a few animals and birds in celebration of a life.

I think Mumsnet have lied about so many things about this latest fuck up. Many things don't add up.

I chatted to a friend last night who works for an online shop in marketing sending out their newsletters. She said even for the most incompetent company it's unfathomable that they accidently send it out to everyone and not just a small segment. Apparently you get to preview lots before actually sending, it'll show the number of people it sends to and then if it's being sent to millions it would take many hours to complete and could be cancelled.

It suits Mumsnet that this cash begging email went out to every email address they've ever harvested. I think they did it on purpose with the plan to then call it an accident when a few complain.

Probably a last minute cash grab plan before people feel spent in January. Makes no sense they'd beg new users for donations.

I think name changing is a shocking idea. I could set up a persona over there as a die hard Tory then name change and become a Corbynista, be anti NHS and pro private health care, then decide the NHS is awesome. A lot of trolls become unstuck when they forget to namechange and are rumbled by claiming to be a victim of DV whilst also being a happily married mother of 6.
The thing that always gets me is the rank fantasists like that are often ignored/accepted, but you’ll get someone who changes a minor detail that’s irrelevant like saying they have a son instead of a daughter or their husband being an electrician instead of a plumber (as mumsnet recommended at one point) and they’ll be absolutely leapt on for it if the regs advance search them, I don’t get it at all 😂

As someone with a bit of experience with running a site, Mumsnet comes across as money hungry and extremely poorly run.

It's essentially a glorified forum. They create a lot of other content and this allows them to charge huge premiums for their adverts. This is a big money spinner as then they charge a premium for all the user generated forum content.
I don’t view it as anything other than a forum. I’ve never used the jobs or local parts. The ‘content’ they write is nothing that’s ever interested me so for me it’s worthless.

No one has mentioned the affiliate links - surely that’s where a lot of the revenue comes from? I’m usually most active in the Christmas section (affiliate links galore!) which I do still enjoy so I won’t be leaving properly, certainly won’t be paying either, but on the reminder of Tattle Life on a helpful thread (now deleted) this morning I’ve decided to properly sign up here rather than just lurk periodically.

The feminist threads are beyond crazy!!! Constantly dragging sex workers and refusing to believe sex work IS real work (despite what opinions you may have on it). And the transphobia on there is off the scale!!!
Oh god yeah the sex work threads! A sex worker was once on it and she was doing an AMA (ask me anything) and one woman asked if she paid tax (yawn) and another asked if she gave any thought to the women whose hubby’s she was sleeping with! Unbelievable out of all the things she could have asked! I think lots of MN are threatened by sex workers in all honesty and I think that half of them suspect their hubby’s of going with hookers.

They want the sex industry stopped (good luck with that) and disguise their reasons as wanting it for the women but they would essentially be making thousands of women skint!

These women don’t realise that sex workers are keeping their marriage going in some cases, many women go through the menopause and don’t want sex ever again which is understandable but they can’t just expect their men to live a life of celibacy just because they don’t want to do it, and half of them would have a divorce if they got their man paying for it.

The thing is is that if I was to be cheated on then I would rather my man paid for it with a hooker because it’s just a transaction whereas someone he met in his personal life is likely tohave an emotional connection which is way more hurtful than just sex.

So many sheltered women on MN

I don’t have kids myself but I have brought kids to the shops. And each time I have regretted it. They walk off, they throw tantrums, they keep asking for shit and generally they’re a nuisance and you keep losing your train of thought.

These people don’t understand not everything should be done with your children glued to your hip.
Exactly. Shopping isn’t fun for me so I like to get it done as quick as I can and bringing children along does slow you down. To be honest I hated being dragged round the shops with my mum as a kid because it was boring, so I doubt mine or anyone else’s kids are missing out on much nor will they struggle with the concept of shopping when they’re older because let’s face it everywhere we look we are being told to buy this or buy that, even the most sheltered person would be able to work out how a shop works. Bloody mumsnet😂

That thread was an eye opener, if you never thought there was hierarchy on MN surely that changed your perspective? Some posters even claimed that it couldn’t have been AF and someone must have stolen her name 😂
I think it’s really odd how posts like that often happen when MN are being hacked or attacked or something is happening that they maybe want to deflect from.

AF is an absolute bitch but the post was out of character and the timing makes me suspicious.
