...there's been multiple threads on England/English people all quite negative and I think that's wrong because if the shoe was on the other foot it would cause an uproar when racism is erong on all angles.
The West, and UK maybe more so, has a long history of cultural self-criticism rooted in the renaissance/enlightenment that isn't to be found elsewhere.

With social media, SJW outrage and virtue signalling has become fashionable, and fuelled by an increasingly left-wing MSM more interested in advertising revenue than in factual, well-rounded reporting, the need to be seen to self-flagellate in public is a now a requirement of any "correct thinking" political poseur.

I don't recognise the country these people live in, which seems to be a cross between the American south of the antebellum and Nazi Germany circa 1936.

There's a thread I still about, this young single mother fancied her plumber. The MNers goaded her into asking him out!! She texted him at midnight asking him for a drink and he never replied!!!! Agagagagag. Cringes me out so much. I mean can you even imagine getting a text like that from a client, let alone so late at night? Yet they still persisted to get the OP's hopes up, then said "oh don't worry it's still a massive confidence boost just to have got up the nerve to text him at all" !!! 🤣 and said she should still get him round to fix her leaky taps and whatnot 🤣

A lot of them don't seem to have encountered human life before. The sex threads can be hilarious, they think getting oral sex is gross 🤣 and masturbation is embarrassing and yucky 🤣
Ahh yes...plenty of the 'I caught my husband wanking to porn and I am so heartbroken he doesn't love me!'
Ask if he needs a hand, make it work for YOU love! Or you can take the piss out if him....

Why do Madeleine McCann threads get shut down on MN? Something to do with the McCanns PR?

It’s the sh
I found this place after reading a Philip Schofield thread on MN and it linked to the thread about him on here.
MN is so bitchy and full of do gooders. It’s like a breath of fresh air here. I don’t post a lot and I love reading the Celeb forum. I haven’t ventured in to many of the other areas on here yet.
The Corona threads are too much, one woman today posted “where the fuck are my neighbours, they are a couple with small kids so why the duck aren’t they home, they shouldn’t be visiting other homes, I can’t see my family so where the fuck are they”😡😡 these folks need to get a life, lockdown isn’t normal and the mass hysteria over people going out etc etc is madness, people on MN love to grass don’t they?! Phoning the police because their neighbours are having barbecues with their own households etc, I fully believe that these folks are grasses of everything including benefit fraud etc, do gooders and nosey folks are the worst and MN is full of them, and they judge things they know fuck all about.

I've just arrived from the dark side aka mumsnet, loved it at first but realised I didn't really fit it... Not having my ducks in a row or scraping to survive on my 100k income.
Tattle is absolutely my jam!
*hugs*💐 Well done for having the strength to LTB 😂

It was penguin here with a rocky if they were on offer 😂
I used to have a Penguin bar with my sandwiches in my packed lunch for primary school. I've just remembered my little orange lunch box I had in my earlier primary school years. I later used to have my packed lunch in the white Tesco bags with the 70s logo, a red capital T inside a circle. It's weird what you remember out of the blue.

Ah yes I'm sure it was her that posted about her husband accidentally forgetting where he parked one of their Mercs for months. she was oh so cross. So many syscophants crowing that it was a MN classic.
Was it her who posted that her husband had lied about some sort of professional qualification and ended up having everything deleted as people had worked out who she was and could have ruined him, or am I getting my (fake) royalty mixed up?

I see the mirror running another mumsnet post about a "snobby" mother giving out about the grandmother buying supermarket clothes for her precious offspring. Do they not still go nuts when the stories are lifted?

I was on MN back in the 'royalty' days when I was very young, hormonal and, like a lot of people on there, utterly exhausted with babies and toddlers. It was a bit of a lifeline at first but soon turned rather nasty. There was one particular member of the 'royalty' who was semi-friendly at first but took against me because, if I recall rightly, she made an amusing spelling mistake and I quote tweeted her with a smiley face. After that, she just went after me, picking everything I said apart, being very personal and just being a complete bitch towards me, so I drifted off Mumsnet and eventually onto twitter, where almost two decades later, said 'royalty' is still acting like The Queen, though her spelling appears to have improved :)
I want to know who this is!! I dib into MN every now and then but tbh it’s full of sanctimonious twats who are all holier then thou.

I enjoyed the subreddit at first but it went very dark and threatening then that other subreddit appeared and it was just plain scary. I got told by someone I had to chose a side 🙀. That did it for me.
Oh yeah Mango and co. That's when I disappeared too, I couldn't make sense of any of it. Sometimes I do go and have a peep but I think I saw a few months back there had been another big fall out.
Its fun on tattle though, much better and nobody seems to be on the attack
Mumsnet can be so confrontational it rather put me off forums.

Justine losing her shit over the cockroach is my absolute favourite mumsnet moment.
It was one of my favourite days on the Internet ever!
I was watching it in real time buzzing my hole off.

Well you could always wash your own kids clothes you know! In real life I don’t know anyone with a cleaner!
I know people with a cleaner who comes in once a week but I have never heard of a cleaner who completes those sort of tasks. I wouldn’t mind one though!

Some of the replies seemed so nasty, I understand having a different view or opinion about what she was saying but they don’t seem to remember there’s a person on the end of it, going through that situation reading all the replies. One just said something like “he already has a mum, his adoptive mum, he doesn’t need another”. Can’t imagine how upset the poster must have been reading that.
Exactly!! This is what really shocks me about the site in general, how is this deemed ‘not in the spirit’ like the countless threads that are deleted every day. That poor woman was in the absolute pit of despair you could tell, it takes a certain amount of psycho for people to say she’s not a mum even though she gave birth to her son, and yet there were countless comments.

I've never posted on Mumsnet but read several threads there in order to try and help me make a decision about whether to become a teacher. I have to say I wouldn't want to work at a school where a large number of students' parents would be on Mumsnet ... some of the posters sounded so demanding. Maybe it's a class thing (I remember one of them saying "ham has no place in a child's lunchbox because it's PROCESSED") but still

I simply asked if there may be any kind of benefit to claim to top up maternity pay, this was when we were trying and I just wanted to know my facts.
The answers I got made it seem like I wanted to commit major benefit fraud and claim all the money 🤷‍♀️
WIBU to ask? I must have been as I clearly upset a lot of them 😂😂😂

I was always ignored over on MN (apart from on the special needs pages). I'm not rich nor thin enough for that particular site.

I’ve been reading some of the Mother’s Day posts over there this morning too. What gifts/over the top celebrations are they expecting??
I just don’t know? My mum has always been happy with just a card and a box of chocolates or a bottle of wine. My grandmothers were exactly the same, though in their cases it would be flowers rather than wine because neither of them drank ! I think a lot of the posters there are very needy and high maintenance and must be hard work most of the time, expecting constant validation from their partners and children. You see similar threads about birthdays and wedding anniversaries. Unless it’s a big milestone it’s not a big deal IMO. Also we are in lockdown, we are not allowed to meet up outside the home and there is nowhere open to take these needy women and ‘spoil’ them anyway.

Mumsnet isn't a supportive site for parents at all, despite their claims. People who have the audacity to rent, earn minimum wage, not go to university, have a child in their teens - all are castigated by the mafiosi on there. There's nearly always a twatty thread about class too, as if anyone these days gives a toss. But the Waitrose shopping, Boden wearing, bean to cup coffee drinkers do like to exert their pathetic superiority over those of us, who, in their eyes, are working class. The ridiculous bragging about income, size of property, amount of savings - it's laughable. I sometimes wonder if certain posters ever interact in real life with other human beings. :D
Is that a tinkly laugh or normal? 😛
