I feel like the only person in the UK that has never had an afternoon tea. I don't quiver at the price of it, I'm just an absolute greedy sausage and it just looked like it was never enough food and I'd have to nip into Greggs on the way home.

Now all this talk of top ups and taking leftovers home has floored me. Can someone please confirm that I have poorly understood the concept for many years if topping up is indeed the norm? Or is it because you are all MN approved DFrench sized teeny tinies, who can barely eat a corner of a tiny crustless sandwich without getting engorged?
I've never had one either! It would be wasted on me as I don't like cakes and pastries (pls don't throw me off this thread I will demolish a pizza hut buffet)

I've got a tiler doing some work for 4 days next week. Will keep you updated on whether he steals my Matalan big black undies, clogs the loo or asks me to make tea!

I don't understand where their ring doorbell camera is placed to get a photo of not Bob at that angle.

On behalf of all coeliacs who not only can't eat those anymore, but have found despite Heinz's claims to the contrary, their allegedly uncontaminated standard beans are now pure poison, I agree with you entirely.
I always swore by Heinz, but now they are muck.

Branston beans are infinitely better.

Does she not realise that you always pay more to have something made for you than it would cost you to make at home?

That's how the hospitality industry works.
Except for Wetherspoons because there’s no way you could make an Empire State Burger at home for less than £7.
