A bit late, but the conversation about scaffolders using your house for storing all that scaffolding makes me want to praise my friend.
Her HA house had some roof work done and after a month or so of pleading with them to take it away, she sawed through one of the pipes blocking her door and also ended up with some very nice planed shelves.
No one said a word.

(do they really wee in the gutters?)
I rang scaffolders and told them some dodgy looking blokes were looking at the scaffolding and saying something about tools and they were there in less than half an hour.

Anyone else find the baby names threads fascinating?

My husband likes Desiree, I like Scarlett.

Could you compromise on Lucinda or Isabella?

Shall I call my baby Ada, Eliza or Evelyn?

I like Adrianna and Elizabeth.

Is this a safe space to say all musicals are cringe?
No! There are some good ones. But then I was weaned on Brigadoon. With today's optics it's probably not even performed any more but as a misty eyed child in the 60s I bloody loved it.

Didn't feel the love for Miss Saigon though. So not all musicals.

MrBasket not only likes musical theatre but he used to perform in it as well.

Then he moved into the even more dull world of a capella. Thank phuck I didn't know him back then - I think I would have had instant ick!

I dont know who they are otherwise this would be great. My roofer has also gone AWOL and we still owe him nearly 9k 🤔 weird bunch. This isnt the company I wanted to go with though I wanted to go with someone my friend had used I knew they were reputable but were an extra 500 quid but Mr Cushans was like nooo it'll be fine, well I hope the fucker is happy now

My kid, who is a massive bender as well, took his then boyfriend to see Les Mis. It was a sing-along event but his singing embarrassed the boyfriend where he kept telling my kid to shut the duck up. They had a massive row which ended with the ex boyfriend shouting "you can't carry a bucket of water never mind a bleeping tune"

They were in their 20s.

I bleeping love musicals. But I am a massive bender so it's the law that I must.
So I take it you’ve seen the IT Crowd’s iconic episode “work night out”?

🎶 willies, I love willies 🎶

Critics say: “Gay, the musical - not as gay as some musicals”.

Remands me of the line in Futurama "I think he comes from a dimension big on musical theatre" :)

I have to stay away from them as they make my blood boil. They all follow the exact same template. Unhelpful reply, list of insane names, name with a forced nickname that doesn't even make sense because you can't pre-set a nickname!

OP - which of these do you like out of Anna, Elizabeth, or May?
First reply - none :/
Second reply - what about Ottilie?
Third reply - Henrietta, Dorabella, Audrina
Fourth reply - What about Winifred, nn Nina

That’s been done before. She’s having twins. The buslings will be knitting booties and jumping up and down shouting “you go girl!” before the day is out.
At least one of the updates will be her saying, "So I walked out this evening. I'm in a hotel eating McDonalds and watching rubbish on TV, it's bliss. I have no idea what comes tomorrow but for now I'm happy," and the seal chorus of buslings will reply, "ORDER ROOM SERVICE! GO TO THE SPA! CHARGE IT TO HIS CREDIT CAAARD!"
