I can safely say I have never once had a man notice or comment on my nails or whether my skin is dewy. In fact I had my nails done yesterday and went for something completely different to what I normally do. I showed Mr CC when I got home and he said "isn't that what you usually get" :D

It's well known that men often say "Clock the dewy skin on that very attractive lady over there." It's a very definite thing...

I don't take my kids to the zoo. We're so rich I take them on our private jet to Africa to see animals and sometimes to Australia where Robert Irwin is their private tutor - he's a povvo and needs the money. (Actually love you Robert)

There is no clothing that looks better when there are rolls of large underneath. Slim people always look better in their clothes.

Another lovely supportive mumsnetter🥰

The irony that they choose sister wife sack dresses!

At the risk of sounding like a Mumsnetter, just realised the £431 quoted by a previous poster to go to London would take me and the Future Archduchess back to my closest 'home' airport in Germany, hire a car and pay for a hotel for four days and a couple of meals. That's mental.

I haven't been on there for ages and hopped back on a couple of days ago. The obsession with dieting and looking slim on there is so gross and depressing.

I love it when MN’ers insist the poster must be wrong, and their problem would be solved if only they followed their genius information.
OP: I really need a doctors appointment. At my surgery we have to phone every day to book, and I never get in.
Poster: calling at 8am is only for emergencies you need to call after 10am and you’ll get in
OP: no everyone has to call at 8am and you get triaged
poster: your surgery will have an online form fill that out and they’ll book you in
OP: no unfortunately we don’t
Poster: you will definitely have an online form as everywhere in England must offer it now so just do that
OP:I’m in wales so no we don’t
Another Poster: call in the afternoon OP calling in the morning is only for urgent appointments

Random other poster who hasn’t bothered to read the thread as they are so desperate to add their super helpful contribution: just do an e consult OP

If anyone is in London and wants to go to a museum this weekend I can highly recommend the London Transport Dept in Acton. It's only open about three weekends a year or something stupid, but is an enormous warehouse full of tubes, buses and more signs than you could imagine.
We went yesterday and had such a good day out. I thought it was going to be a bit dull, but there is so much stuff to see and geek out at.

Exactly. Those high earners who have no spare cash to ever take their kids anywhere are also telling on themselves tbh, we're average earners, (depending what google result you take we're pretty much median earners) so manage to take the kids on days out through the year, not as many as the kids would like, but enough to keep them out of county lines gangs. Maybe if they spent more time doing things with the kids that they can afford and less time being bitter about the things they can't afford they would have better relationships with adult offspring!

But it's only those receiving UC that are lazy and not working if they're caring for their children. If they have a husband in a Busy and Important Outing job, they're working full time in the home and he should do everything 50% and all the cleaning/cooking/shipping/booking kids' appointments to be anywhere near doing enough because IT'S MORE THAN FULLTIME WORK.

I also went yesterday! Got in free as a carer! Free! Did you see me? 😁

It is amazing. I love old trains and buses, they look so classy. Also makes me feel old that I remember some of the old stock from my childhood (tbh they did use it for a long time!)

It’s like when they say ‘we need more information, before we can advise, OP’. I imagine them sat there stony faced waiting for Brenda to confirm that Nigel’s outing hobby he does with the OW is cycling so she should indeed LTB. Nosey witches.

We need a secret tattle sign. I was the one with a baby strapped to my front and three tall teenage boys. Such MN cliches 😆

Hi David from Love on The Spectrum's Mum! (niche, but I literally just watched the episode where old money bags takes Abbey to Africa for a date!)
