How does one eat a stottie? Would it be ok to slice it horizontally across the middle and have it as a big bap?
I usually slice horizontally and fill/butter and then quarters...if I am feeling generous
My DC have been known to attack a fresh stottie....well, like a Northener would carbs! No regard for slicing or buttering!

I would warn, though, that if you have loose stottie fillings it may be difficult to stop bits from falling out. (Bear in mind a traditional stottie can be 10" in diameter). Stick to "adhesive" things - ham and pease pudding is a strong favourite. Corned beef and onion. Prawn salad with plenty of seafood sauce. That sort of stuff. Use mayonnaise, brown sauce etc as glue.
You won't regret it.

Adhesive ham? DOcado only sell naice ham. Where do you get adhesive ham? Is it a northern thing a la gammonista?
I've also never heard of devilled sausages, but I am an accountant who was going to be made redundant and instead moved into a new non accountant role, so using the skills from both my personalities I simply googled it - looks delicious!
