There’s at least 3 threads on the AIBU front page right now that are full of worrying attitudes to food. Including Easter eggs!!

Anyone seen the one with the OP drinking a bottle of wine after submitting a dissertation and people making out that it’s too much. Pointing out the units. A bottle of wine! It’s not like she even said she downed a litre of vodka straight.

She'd also bought eggs and gifts for her nieces and was then confused why her husband might have thought she'd buy her stepkids eggs as well. Cries everywhere about what a lazy, abusive, useless non parent he must be to think she would buy Easter eggs while she was...buying Easter eggs.
And harped on endlessly about how she had planned a celebration for her DS. How much planning does an Easter egg hunt need?

Any more than a small glass now and again and you’re a raging alcoholic according to Mumsnet.
I used to post in the Dry January threads and there would always be snarky comments from people popping into the thread to say we're all alcoholics and they themselves frequently go a month without drinking without even noticing

I had a sulk because my partner got me a crappy egg from lidl last minute yesterday afternoon 🤣🤣
And another benefit of not living in England or Wales 😂 (Lidl was closed here for Easter Sunday)

Felt like I was back in the 80s with the shops closed on a Sunday and nice and quiet outside!

And the warnings!!

"Please be careful this doesn't slip into once a week then once a day"

Why do they think everyone who has a sip or a bottle of wine is going to be necking 60 cans of tenants super a day and becoming a functioning alcoholic within a week?!

If I’ve not been drinking and I’m not already in my bed, I’ll collect my man from a night out and vice versa. Part of being a couple is doing nice things for one another.
No no no, on Mumsnet you must not do anything nice for your “D”H ever, you must quietly resent them while you get your ducks in a row so you can LTB.

Has anyone seen the one where the OP is asking how many easter eggs people have eaten? The number of people who claim to have eaten none and aren't that bothered about chocolate... Yeah right!
Not had any. Don't like the stuff, especially not now it's all got palm oil rit in it.

However, there was a pack of eight mochi in the supermarket this morning...

That one was wild. Someone said it was too much and they drink 2 glasses 4 nights per week which is double what she has in a week.

Were any of them in the sale?
I looked on Hotel Choc and they were 30 quid each...
I’ve been checking hotel choc every few hours for the past day for when they put their sale on!

Is there any, "gosh, adults have easter eggs? How bizzare" type replies, the same as when someone is upset they didnt receive a present for a special occasion.

I love the mentality that after 18 no gets presents for anything. Ever.

Oh yes!! I hate this!! When someone posts ‘I didn’t get A/B/C’ someone always posts ‘people still do that?’ Pure passive-aggressive faux confusion to make a point

I have Tesco, Aldi & Lidl near me and struggled to find an egg in there on Friday so definitely none to be had, let alone reduced, near me :(

There were no easter eggs at all in my Morrisons and Sainsburys. I don't think any supermarkets reduce them now, they just seem to mysteriously disappear during the weekend.

I’ve never met people in real life like the crazies on mn, how do they actually function in society ????
