Abortion /unplanned pregnancy threads are eek. I do actually agree with one of the posters who said when a teen girl got pregnant the Mumsnet harpies jumped on and said she should force her teenage daughter to get an abortion. If it was my daughter in future I would support her tell her the realities about parenting but I would not force her into it like some of Mumsnet were suggesting the OP did. Your daughter would never forgive you if she felt forced

“Karen” used to mean a particular type of uppity woman (not that I liked that either) but let’s be honest, now it means any kind of “old” (35+) woman who dares to exist in public. I think it’s a misogynist slur.
