didnt she live in Paris? (or said she did) Naturally her children were not only bilingual, incredibly bright, gorgeous skinny beanpoles but they saved the goddamn world too! (might have made the last bit up, not sure)
I'm ALMOST tempted to plead for forgiveness, get back in and start another Ellen/Meghan thread. But I wont, because I'm a grown up woman of 60, and it would be silly. Silly, childish, but fun.

Yeah, they didn’t dislike her because she was a fantasist (although she was). It was because she was a witch.
I Don't feel.sorry for her at all. I barely remember her. I was just curious about what she did that wound them up so much! I hadn't been on mn for ages till I found the thread on tattle. iIt's still as bonkers as ever over there.I thought she was one of the biggest fantasists on there?

I think most people ignore her now, like a child desperate for attention being a pain.
She often brings herself up on threads too when she is socking. I felt sorry for her in the end despite her nasty behaviour.
I think that was Bonsoir and I kind of liked her in a strange fascinated way. She got really ill I heard with a brain tumour. I don’t know if she survived, I hope so. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.

Daddy and the boys feast on giant portions of chilli, salads, roast dinners and hearty soups with crusty bread and lashing of good butter daily whilst remaining tall strapping rugby playersOn the food issue, there are the threads where they outdo each other on how little they eat in a day and the ones where they compete over how healthy their children's diets are and how their little darlings don't even like juice. Whilst mummy and the girls have much smaller appetites and can survive on the dust of a cracker and a glass of water, they’re all built like ballerinas, tiny and petite almost like thumbelina, just like how god intended.
I remember on thread where the poster accused her young kids (around 6 years old) of being greedy for eating food and she was embarrassed by it. These kids weren't large or even over weight.
The mum listed what they ate and she seemed to be obsessed with healthy food and in my opinion didn't feed them much. It was quite heartbreaking to read. She called her kids greedy and embarrassing and that she was embarrassed they would finish their food and ask for more when friends were over. It was bleeping weird.

They spend all day on Mumsnet making up fantasies about their oh so amazing lives and sneering at others for being different.
They’re all Christmas haters too, I think. I know some people hate it for various reasons - loneliness, bereavement etc but on there it seems an Olympic sport to sneer about tat and waste and who can out Grinch each other.

I noticed some competitiveness about how late they put up their Xmas decorations. Obviously it started as mid-December being the earliest a classy person can put up their decs and some saying they don't put up decorations any earlier than Chirstmas Eve evening at 11:59PM
And then bring them down at 00:01 Boxing Day
I would never have found tattle if it weren't for Mumsnet, they literally drove me here and I've never looked back
I suspect some are disappointed this year because last year they didn’t have to travel to or entertain the in laws and were happy in their little bubble and this year people are making up for last year so a lot more expectations for them to host and travel.
If Mumsnetters want Christmas alone, they need to be honest and tell their relatives this. Although they act all gobby on Mumsnet (their safe space), I suspect they go along with it and don’t speak up and then whinge about it online. They could have had a quiet Christmas any year. They didn’t need a pandemic or the government to do it for them. All it takes is for them to use their words.

There was one who posted on Christmas day that she had ripped down all the decorations and threw the Christmas tree in the bin straight after lunch and didn't understand why her kids were upset because "after all, Christmas is over once lunch is served".
Can't remember if it was last year or the year before. But I do remember thinking that she was a joyless cow and trying to be cool end edgy on there.

Mumsnet really scares me. I lurk now and again but won't even register, there is no point at all when I've found Tattle, which I am really liking so far because having different opinions is actually welcome and encouraged here.
I wonder why Mumsnet is as vicious as it is? The only place I can think of that is as bad/worse is Twitter.
