There’s a thread on there atm about someone who doesn’t want the childminder to give her 14 month old any sugary treats. Which is fine. But then goes onto say her kid was happy eating raspberries while all the adults stood around eating the kids birthday cake. Poor little bugger didn’t even get any of her own cake! Why buy one in the first place?! Obviously everyone’s rushing on to outdo the OP with tales of how their kid has never touched sugar in any form and now only eats raw horse meat and grass as a teenager out of choice.
I read some of that thread but the whole “my kid doesn’t eat sugar. They don’t need it” put me right off it. Also the ones who said their kid prefers cucumber/fruit to cake seemed quite smug.

I felt it was mean to have everyone eating birthday cake but the birthday girl just had a bowl of raspberries.

On the food issue, there are the threads where they outdo each other on how little they eat in a day and the ones where they compete over how healthy their children's diets are and how their little darlings don't even like juice. Then there's the ones who try to outdo each other on how much food their kids can put away when they get in from school and how their kids are all very tall and slim built 🤣 I wish they'd make their minds up about whether overeating or undereating is best!
I've noticed on the food threads they all have lentils with EVERYTHING! Even if they have a fruit salad they'll find a way to shove lentils into it

The food threads are soul destroying.

"1200 calories a day is way too many for me. You'll be dead from diabetes by 40"

duck off Sandra, I'm a size 14. We don't quite need to take the windows out for me to leave the house yet.

How wouldn't they be six four and perfect when they're the product of a seriously hot husband?

Thing is, the only way a massive salad is in the least bit interesting is if you douse it with a really nice dressing, which probably contains oil, and maybe egg yolks if you are going fancy, and chuck in a few croutons... and some lardons...

I think a lot of people lie online firstly, but also people adjust the truth upwards to reflect where they think they should sit in other people’s social hierarchies if that makes sense? Like IRL they may deem themselves queen bee of their small village / town / borough, but to assert themselves as that online they have to extend the truth. Hence why there are so many apparent HNWIs on that site giving measley pocket money out.

Also ngl most high paying jobs outside of medicine & law are in tech, not sales or marketing like they all claim lol.
Do you think they say marketing as that's what the woman does in Motherland?

I was on one a while ago and they got onto the squash is the devils piss thing. One woman kept screaming read the back you'll never give it to your kids again.

I read the back and can't see the problem.

Didn't you realise if your child has squash they'll be toothless by the time they're 10? 😏

Like the ones who claim their 18 year old only ever drink fizzy drinks when they go out for food. Those same 18 year old are probably smoking weed and all sorts behind their backs

Isn’t most squash all no added sugar now anyway? Like maybe the squash of the 80s and 90s could have cleaned ur loos but there’s probably less fructose per gram in squash than fresh fruit?

Their farts must absolutely stink. Though, if you listen to most of them they never fart in front of their ‘DH’s’. They must be pretty much constantly bloated and in agony🙄🤔

There’s a thread this morning from someone who wants to send an anonymous letter to her neighbours because she can see into their bathroom and see them sitting on the toilet etc. Apparently despite the fact that there’s frosted glass she could still see someone sat wiping their a..🤔 if that’s true, and I don’t think it is TBH, just don’t bleeping look is surely the answer?

Does anyone remember a poster called le queen? I never paid much attention to her, but I vaguely remember her posts. She seemed quite well off and used to go on about grammar schools a lot!

no idea if she was a fantasist or not, but a lot of the posters on mumsnet really had it in for her.- trying to out her and her family. I still see her name crop up on there occasionally.
