Agree referring to yourself as a HCP is a bit weird cos you’d just say your specialism, but I’ve been in hospital a fair bit and I always say HCP as a catch all cos I know there’s SO many different specialities and training levels within them that it feels more respectful than potentially getting it wrong, I hope no one would think I was either pretentious or snobby as a patientYou always see posters who work in the NHS refer to themselves as a ‘Health Care Professionals’ or ‘HCP’. So you’re a doctor or a nurse then? I’ve literally never heard anyone used that term in real life and I know a lot of nurses, it’s so pretentious![]()
