I know! I’m married to a snorer and it does give me rage in the night, but it’s not on purpose is it? I usually end up flouncing to another room but I forget about it once I’ve had some sleep.

I really had the impression the safe men shit was just a way to bring up Brownie all girl policy to see if it was worth campaigning for change. Sounded like she only wanted to swap him because it was on a more convenient night too.

Children need to learn how to mix with different personalities it’s part of life! My daughter is autistic and really struggles to make new friends, read people and get along with children who are loud etc beavers and cubs have been brilliant for her learning how to socialise and get along with different personalities. She needs to loosen the grip she has on those kids.

The whole boy mum thing gets on my nerves generally. So many of these mums are actually breeding entitlement into their sons which is exactly what leads to the problems they seek to solve. My daughter’s college has a scheme for young people from black asian and minority backgrounds to get into Oxbridge. My daughter would also benefit from the activities they do, but we are not from one or those backgrounds.
Do I spend a moment thinking about it? No! Do I resent other children from having those perceived advantages or do I recognise that being from a white background with degree (not oxbridge) educated parents is enough of an advantage to her?

There should be no conflict - if you want your sons to be safe males teach your sons to respect girls’ boundaries including the right to have safe spaces and say actually we don’t want you around.

When we have genuine equality - and I still think that’s worth striving for - we won’t need to make these accommodations.

Imagine, Dad's weekend - unlimited screen time and all they can eat! He might let them wear some normal clothes too, not dress them like toddlers.

Also, the boys always look SO drained & I’m all for whipping the kids to shop in their pjs but ALL the time is a joke.

I honestly don’t think she’d cope with a girl 🫣. Mum of both here (I hate that saying too ) and wow, nothing prepared me for raising a mini version of myself. Oh the screaming, I’d rather ponder over ‘weekend cereal’ any day 🫠

Girls are brilliant! Mine was wild but no one has ever made me laugh so much. She’s been a dream teenager too - studied hard, ambitious but balanced with a good group of friends and a penchant for parties.

I have 2 of each give me boys any day. They like to please people. My girls are very opinionated stubborn messy much rather get dirty outside than my boys they answer back too, she’d hate it. O comes across as her dream child. Hes everything she’s forced him to be where as S he comes across Boisterous loves mess always full of energy and would eat everything he shouldn’t and wouldn’t care.
