I honestly think in less than a hundred years people will be horrified to look back at how ‘in the old days’ children were used online, their safety and privacy compromised for their parents to make money from advertising.

Like the way we look back now and think it was horrendous children were put up chimneys to clean them or sent to work in the mines with their dads.

Has anyone else watched Kelly The Bees Knees live abouts ads? I think she comes across really well on it and I agree with a lot of her points. At the very start she says hello to Mrs M, so she was obviously watching it yesterday when it was live. Interestingly though a lot of the stuff Kelly talks about is exactly the stuff we are saying that we don’t like about Mrs Ms ads - too many ads/contradictory ads/adverts for random shit/ads just to make money etc.
She also touches on the whole gifted thing etc

A good watch and I think she comes across well. Mrs M should take note.

I actually thought kelly looked abit awkward when she saw rebs comment. I Really respect Kelly for being so transparent and honest. I think it’s time the grandparents stepped in. Honestly, these kiddos aren’t doing well. Their behaviour is erratic, their moods are plummeting. If your children were only earning a couple of hundred pounds a month from sharing their lives and your grandchildren like this, with ALL that comes along with this “job”, would you really still be allowing them to carry on?

Lee has given up his career for this. To share his children’s precious moments with everyone. Rebecca appears to suffering with mental health issues (her mum in particular must be worried sick about the eating, although I’m sure this a long standing worry for Karen), and the quality of her work has dropped so significantly I actually believe her when she talks about how anxious she is. Just tell them to stop. These are some of the best years of your life, having a young family. But this is destroying them. Get them out!

I think you’re reading too much into some of this. Lee didn’t have a career, Rebecca doesn’t have mental health or eating issues, If you see her in the flesh she’s just slim having lost her baby weight. They are 2 greedy young people who have jumped on the influencing bandwagon and are trying to milk it for all its worth, not honest hard working folk but scroungers who are playing the system. Unfortunately people are beginning to see through them. Who knows how it will affect their family long term?

I reported the Olay ad as misleading. It is - simply because she’s promoting it, yet every other week it’s a different skin care brand that is the best. It simply is misleading. If you’re an “Olay Ambassador” then you should solely advertise Olay. Promoting any other brand, whether you use them behind closed doors or not, undermines any standing you have.

Agreed, in traditional advertising, companies would refrain from using the same model as the "face" of their brand if the model had already been in a campaign for a rival brand. Same thought should apply in social media, but the companies pimp stuff out all over the place with no concern nor restriction. Influencers like MrsM peddling everything she can get her mitts on is misleading and largely without advertising control. It's irresponsible on both parts, the sponsor and her. But we can see followers are getting sick of it. Anyone still hanging on to every word and post of someone like MrsM needs to give themselves a shake. She gives NOTHING to her followers now. It's very sad, compared to how high she once rode. I've said it before, I invested a huge amount of time and trust in the Meldrum channels. Excited for their success. But she bit the hand that fed her, deleting and blocking comments and followers, him messaging women, they've behaved terribly towards a lot of individuals. Taking no heed of suggestions and genuine questions, in fact completely disregarding them. They've lost respect. When it bursts we have lives outside that bubble they unfortunately do not.
That's why I don't trust a word she says whether it be gifted, scripted, advertising, ranting or bloody sponsored, shit comes out of her mouth. There's elemis one minute olay the next. You're also wearing makeup too. How does the Olay stuff mix with makeup? I'm guessing several weeks ago you got into your jammies during the day and pretended it was morning to take these photos so you can effortlessly blend them into a grid pic and make this advertisement part of your content.
