You're right! My other half is ex RAF Regiment and he fought in both Afghanistan and Iraq wars. He suffers so badly with complex ptsd. Its horrible to see him struggling. Virtually no support whatsoever since he left. (Medically discharged as he lost his hearing in a roadside bomb attack in Afghan).

Thank you. When I said 24 yes I meant to say he has been in the army 24 years. He had 2 kids who I know are the only reason he is still alive today. I would give up ever being happy again if it meant he would be well again. Love of my life lost to an awful disease xx

Silly bleep. This week has been about supporting my husband who watched his friends being blown up in Afghan and then having to ensure their bodies were recovered in full so they couldn’t be used as trophies by the Taliban.

I can totally relate my lovely This week at about 4am I woke up to being punched in the back of the head by flailing arms. And ‘ Man down. Medic. Get his bowels back in, find his leg.’ And other things. Hubby was a combat medic in many places. The worst was the genocide in Bosnia.
But don’t worry cos we’ve got this eh? Anyway then there’s Hinch. Who doesn’t even do the work her INSTA is supposed to do. And then has to take time off. See if anyone I know takes this much time off after they’ve done duck all anyway. They’d. Get. The. bleeping. Sack.

As an ex military misses my heart goes out to you and your hubby. I know early days but the things they witness are indescribable. I witnessed and still support my ex partner (who due to his own breakdown cannot cope with a relationship still even though we both still love each other and were planning to get married) and I have to admit as much as I hate the army at times they do provide first class support to their chaps still there. Sending love and hugs. Always here if you want to talk xx
