The amount of times I’ve watched the stories of Mrs Hinch and other “influencers” and cried or felt dissatisfied....possibly even jealous, but recently I’ve come to realise that their “fame and wealth” comes with a hefty price tag of its own. I’m skint most of the time, stressed to the max a lot, tired, overworked and underpaid but I’d rather live my life and be the mum that I am (I think I’m pretty fucking spectacular as a mum) than sell my soul and my children’s for a few poxy freebies. No matter what these twats have they will always be lacking in the things that matter. This shit will be short lived and they’ll have missed out on the things that they’ll never get back. At least I’ll teach my boys that nice things come from hard work and perseverance and smiling when you want to cry and throw the towel in

I’ve been on nights this week and in the early hours of this morning we lost a beloved patient, a beautiful gentle soul who has battled illness in and out of the hospital for weeks. This will keep me awake today and tonight as I go into my rest days the sadness of losing people during this time and the fact only one family member could be there. So fucking sad. The sadness is overwhelming and all consuming actually. Any other tattle bastard nurses on here feeling absolutely destroyed lately because I am. Then you have this bastard child of Satan worrying about the square route of fuck all. “What if it rains on my one year olds birthday and my instagram content isn’t good”.
