Morning sickness

I suffered with hg and was in and out of hospital the whole 9 months. I was on 3 different types of anti sickness which barely helped. On my very rare days where is could stomach eating I could only eat wholewheat hoops (cearal) green apples and tinned peach’s from the Tesco value range. I tired seabands and preggie pops where great too (unfortunately they don’t sell them in this country and I had to order them from America, but they were worth it, as all the sour sweets over here just made me vomit as they were to strong)

Wishing you all the best, it might seem that there is no little at the end of the tunnel but it will all be worth it in the end x

Yesterday and today have been particularly bad. Got some of those anti sickness pills off the Dr but I'm so reluctant to take them as he said they're safe but not 100% and probably won't help much with the nausea feeling 🙄

He's still panicking (he already has two kids from a previous relationship 😂) he's told me I've to trade my car in for a 6 seater cos he likes his too much 😂

I will keep you guys updated as soon as I've had it!
Oh hun I feel for you! Nothing worse than feeling sick all of the time!
Haha 😂😂 I’m so happy for you though xx

No wonder I've been feeling so tit, it's twins 🙈 only one heartbeat at the minute though so it could go either way, back for another scan a week today
Congratulations!!! ❤

This weekend is the first weekend since 5 weeks (I'm now 18 weeks today) that I've felt semi normal and had bit of an appetite back! It's also been 1 week since I've vomited. I hope it will last! 😬

pear drops and ginger biscuits worked for me..my doctor recommended keeping a biscuit by your bed so as soon as you wake up you can eat it then rest a bit before getting out of bed x

Yes to pear drops! I’ve eaten loads of them lately! They really help with the horrible taste in my mouth.

I had horrendous all day sickness from 6 weeks to around 26... it was awful, couldn’t drink water without vomiting at one point 🙈 when I was at my worst and needed something on my stomach, the one and only thing I could handle were sugared soft jelly sweets!

I’m 10 weeks and although I haven’t been physically sick, the nausea is constant. The thing that makes me feel so ill is water/squash so I’m struggling to keep hydrated.

I have to have another blood test this week as my iron levels are low and I’m dreading it as they totally butchered my arm last time struggling to find a vein due to dehydration. Anyone had the same/have any suggestions?

Could you eat ice lollies? Or ice pops? That’s what we do for the kids when they are sick and not drinking.

I have heard sucking on ice cubes and ice pops could help, didn’t work for me but could for you. Also I feel your pain with the not being able to find a vain. I still have scars from my hg journey x

Thank you both for your advice, I’ll definitely try ice lollies. The thought doesn’t instantly repulse me like a glass of water does at the moment!

I drank pretty much only Sprite in my last pregnancy. Probably not great for the teeth, but that was all I could stomach, no water at all.

I know we’ve been asking about morning sickness on this thread but Iv been watching about the maternity services on the news- and the shocking stories that some parents have reported and it’s just making me really scared about my pregnancy! I’m already so anxious as i haven’t had my first scan yet, it’s on the 23rf. I don’t really know why I’m coming on here to say this but I just feel like a big ball of anxiety today! It’s my first pregnancy and I’m just feeling really nervous with it all today.

I'm sure everything will be fine at the scan and *hopefully* by the time we give birth things will be better. 💖

I'm worried about my partner not being allowed in the second scan on the 30th as I got a later ages ago, but I'll bring him along anyway! If people are allowed to go shopping and go to gyms, then it's absolutely outrageous not to have a partner at your scans.

I would love to see a general pregnancy thread on here just so we can all whinge and talk about everything and anything. I hate making threads though in case I mess up, so if anyone wants to!! 😂
