What a lady! Can i marry her? But wait...does he mean "wouldn't say that for many influencers"? And what does he mean by point taken? Is he admitting that he is a money grabbing See you next Tuesday?
For anyone who didn't get it my previous post was sarcastic

Noooo FOD always turns into philosopher FOD when he gets really desperate - there isn't a hint of authenticity about it its just an amalgamation of other instagram posts reguigitated into one vomit inducing caption.

Its like a constant loop with him.... Amazing/hapless Dad of twins FOD to Hilarious, zany nuts lad FOD to Twat philosopher standing wistfully on the beach FOD aaaaaaand repeat.

EDIT: I just re-read your post and finally realised you're definitely being sarcastic

I couldn’t tell you the name of a single influencer until I found Tattle and only really ended up here when I saw a comment about the whole ‘Alice’ thing (I mean, WTF?!) And I don’t have anything profound to say other than in my little part of the world (and possibly others), if you’re slagging off someone, you could call them a “fud”. (A bit like calling someone a fanny). As in, “why is he being a fud and talking about mum porn in front of the kids?” Fud and FOD are so close to each other.....

No worries!!!! I was afraid my sarcasm would be missed and then got worried I'd be accused of being Clammie!

His reply to that amazing comment about how for lots of influencers it’s their only source of income. I mean, sure. Except! Most ~influencers HAD employment and once the world of #gifted #spon paid enough they left. I can start listing influencers who did just that, easily, if you’d like FOD? So let’s not run off with some ‘oh poor influencers, woe is me tale.’

What first attracted you to the millionaire Paul Daniels?

Yep! Precisely! No one is leaving school and applying to Instagram for an influencership? Imagine going down the job centre, pits are closed so here you are hun flat tummy teas for you x

He simply refuses to take accountability for their decisions, these are choices you made!! And he wasn’t hard up, they had alright jobs and minted parents so these choices were purely motivated by greed and excess! Why not speak about that? They still want that hence house of horrors account the hypocrites!

It is possible to be a big insta page and not be a cunt. We had that lovely example from that wonderful mum to be (can’t remember her name) who acknowledged the responsibility she has to her community and made clear that she won’t sell baby tat to them. You’ve got influencers who work with a handful of brands they genuinely like. The minute you make your sole income influencer content you are the brands’ bitch and have to promote any old tat for cash.

And also, disclosure is a thing... that the SODs never fucking do. The pure hypocrisy.

what’s wrong with these people? Why is it so hard to believe that some people actually have standards/integrity, no I wouldn’t sell my own and my children’s privacy for freebies “if I could” (is it that hard? Lidl FOD seems to be coping fine?). And amazingly some of us are perfectly capable of earning a living through an honest day’s work, and maintaining a lovely standard of life off that alone.

I love this woman!! So going to watch this now. Not to derail but I really struggle with my husband and even his family not caring about the gender stereotypes they are continuuing to enforce on our soon to be born son. Do we talk about this stuff on the new forum, I didn’t want to then detail the new soap thread with my rant about feminism

also, FOD’s a cunt

To be fair, I’ll put money on some of the shit polyversities & FE colleges doing degrees in the future...bachelors of influencers. Then we will see apprenticeships in influencing.

However you’re absolutely right, if influencing is their only income THEY made influencing their only income, but what would he know about that anyway? 2 of them with careers and 2 of them with huge Instagram platforms ripping the arse out of every conceivable advertising and gifted opportunity thrown at them. He’s not speaking from experience. And I think we’ve discussed this before, other than the rank influencers like Hinch et al, most of these people are from money. They didn’t just land that gorgeous Georgian town house in Chelsea from pushing Lush bath bombs ffs! Nobody can afford to just give up their day job (especially the late 20-40 age bracket) and just go, yep that’s me I’m an influencer without backing from either well paid partner or rich parents. It’s ludicrous and unachievable, why do people think they are relatable. it really pisses me off!

I took his reply as him not acknowledging that he is one of the ‘influencers’... he probably has no idea it’s aimed at him... even though it’s in response to his stories. So vapid it wouldn’t occur to him.

I'm tickled knowing he's sat there scratching his head as to why he's still losing followers: "What the fuck do these vulvas want?! I know women! I gave them the younger version of the twins, the dog, mumporn because women LOVE ironing, and now, Mr Sensitive."

I would talk about it Lately, I have been thinking about the girls' names. I think they are alright but they all sound extremely feminine. There is nothing wrong with that but they are constantly talking about strong girls club and empowerment and #girlpower and in light of this I think the names they have chosen are weird. All these flower names...I think they reinforce gender stereotypes. If I ever have a daughter - or son - , I would like them to be strong so they can be whatever they want (be it a make-up artist, a mechanic a lawyer or whatever) so I would be more conscious of the name I choose and the associations that go along with it for most people. I hope I haven't offended anyone...

Yeppp! It’s like he’s so close to clocking yet still so fucking far? Yes I appreciate #ad is needed by content creators, in the same way I know why ch4 have to show me ads 4 times an hour, but I don’t expect to see shit in breach of ASA regs from either of them? And it’s an entirely different context, showing “real humans” doing XYZ is entirely different from normal brand comms?

There will be a second wave of fall out after all of this. The young women they’ve encouraged into debt or divided their Miele washing machine into 360 affordable monthly payments of £2.99 will be defaulting during these awful months (not their fault) and absolutely fucking their credit scores. Hope FOD sleeps well tonight after his feel good think piece tho

It’s interesting and not offensive, tbh I always think names face more prejudice around class/race/religion than gender, it’d be interesting to read more on it tho!

So are you saying only masculine type names with no feminine connotations can be ‘strong’?

I think you are perpetuating a gender stereotype right there!

I was afraid someone would understand it like this and I've really been thinking how to put it and yes if I am perpetuating gender stereotypes myself. No, I don't think a Lily Rose can't be strong or that floral names can't be strong... I guess in the end it's about the person behind the name... but personally I wouldn't choose floral names for my daughters. Maybe its also cultural thing. I think its more common in anglophone countries, in Germany it's quite rare I would say.

We seem to think very similarly For me it’s that these influencers, when they start off small, interact and create this friendship that paves a way to selling. Followers genuinely believe that the influencer is their friend and that they are part of some ridiculous ‘gang’ or ‘club.’ Eventually they become so cold (usually alongside the blue tick) that they only reply to other influencers but the groundwork was set - you suggest a overpriced sweatshirt and I buy it therefore we’re friends. It’s dangerous territory, especially where the demo for the SOD’s is new mothers who are more vulnerable.

He’ll sleep just fine, every night, because as far as he’s concerned there’s an unfollow button and that’s your fault for not using it
