Sorry if this seems an odd comment to make, and I am sorry this is long, but after watching that recent video and seeing Beth's replies, I just had to say that i really feel sorry for her.. because it seems like she is just trying her best to mediate and keep everything together all by herself, whilst it all seems to be falling apart... (especially with Mia's bad reputation..)
I cant help but feel bad for her that she is having to carry the burden of her sister's mistakes and bad attitude, like in writing all those long paragraphs in order to try to explain away the situation,... in place of/on behalf of Mia who should be the older and more mature presence here and should be delivering an apology or something, (but instead just responds to her criticism by deleting the comments and/or replying in a snarky and defensive way.) It is almost like she is having to be Mia's spin doctor these days, like her manager.. which is so sad..
Just feels like poor Beth is left to pick up all the pieces of this whole mess by herself without any kind of guidance on the most mature and professional way of doing this from her mother or anyone. I completely agree her response of denial was not at all the best way to address the clear problem here, but i dont think she actually knows how to handle it, and at the end of the day i feel like it shouldn't have to be her responsibility either..
I wish I could help them, but then again.. after having read all 8 threads, it is pretty clear to see that no matter how approachable and kind the constructive criticism is worded, (such as the (student?)nurse or childcare specialist, sorry I can't quite remember, despairingly trying to help Mia with her college thing,) she just doesn't want to hear it.... so nothing ever gets through to her and no one can help her because she won't let them. I've been so tempted to try to reach out to her in a heartfelt way myself, but i think there has been enough evidence here to lead me to believe that she wouldn't even want my outstretched hand, and wouldn't appreciate it because she would rather pursue trends and fit in with the crowd than receive help from people who really genuinely care.
Despite Mia constantly trying to tell us that she acknowledges this flaw of hers, i think she only says that or knows of it because of the feedback people keep giving her, and does not actually understand it, or ACCEPT in her heart that it is the case. I just don't think she is mature enough to properly and genuinely be able to introspect about her behaviour and herself as a person.
I'm sorry if this has seemed unkind, or irrelevant, or ranty.. and I know I don't actually know either of them in person so my perception could be wrong, but given the way that they show themselves to be... thats what i make of it
