That’s all she has done since she moved there. The only place they go is the mall. The kids must be sick tit of shopping & window shopping at that because they never buy anything.But she’s saying when she goes back to cork after a few days she wants to go home to Dubai cos it’s so boring …
Fairly boring sitting in the compound day in day out with one friend in the country , 2 kids , a part time partner & not been able to drive anywhere
As someone that used to live in Dubai with a partner that used to fly for EK, they don’t. It covers the basics and the benefits are ok, but by no means are they living comfortably enough to be enjoying all of Dubai has to offer. Why do you think she never leaves the house? They can’t afford it.
She’s painfull . It’s march in Ireland what weather does she want us to have ? Bikini weather ?
I rather be in the cold and safe Ireland than Dubai at the moment

Would she stop with the spring break carry on?
My neighbours daughter came home last week from Dubai. She worked in finance and fled. She was on a two yr transit role from a Dublin job so worked it out with their head office that it was ok to come back.
She said they are terrified over there and the influencers putting up the we will be back things are covering their asses as their SM is watched heavily and they don’t want to be banned from returning in the future.
I reckon Megan knows she’s home for a good while if not for good.
What about the boy he's in school over there and her partner isn't going to quit his job... But presumably the schools will be online after their break and will she be able to do schooling from Ireland
The time difference for school might be an issue for him here though. I’m sure the fella could pick up a pilot job in Ireland. Why anyone would want to go back to Dubai is beyond me, that region won’t settle for a long time.
It’s a bit strange alright. I didn’t know I was following her but she’s been coming up on my feed the last few weeks. I came to say the same, she is over emphasising that she wouldn’t come home or only did for spring break a bit too much. I can’t stand these ones who move abroad and act allergic Ireland. I live abroad and would be home every second month if I had the means.
The time difference
The spring break reference is what they call the holidays from school this time of year like our mid term break.. the ones in Dubai were brought forward a week early due to the conflicts and due to end on March 22nd. So technically going by the school calendar schools are supposed to reopen on Monday Mar 23rd. So technically she’s abiding by the rules saying she’s off for spring break
But it’s very unlikely that schools will reopen there on Mar 23rd and online school will be happen instead
