His new thing of being an alcoholic will now be “I can’t stop drinking, I’m an alcoholic” which will be his excuse for constantly drinking.
If he engaged with services, he would get help. He doesn’t because he doesn’t and it’s as simple as that for me. He is quite happy living his life as a victim and staring into the middle distance as McDonalds.
As someone in recovery, I find this sort of behaviour intolerable
