I thought they'd split up as she made so many references to solo parenting. Then he's back in the photos again. Colour me perplexed. Perhaps in France both parents stay home all day, every day to raise small children? I see no flaw in that construct. Ok, a few blips in GDP here and there but, hey, needs must.
I have some theories

.
A. it's a passive aggressive side kick to her husband because he went on a 3-week boys trip without begging her first, and she's still pissed about it.
B. It's a passive aggressive side kick to her husband, but because he wouldn't let her hire a nanny. She lives in a posh neighbourhood, her work bubble may mostly be overpayed influencers and her husband's rich friends' wifes may all have nannies or au-pairs or something. She wants that too, but monsieur is not having it (though if Nikki managed to dig up a [PR nanny], then he'd be sold

). She's so out of touch what normal life looks like for the majority of people that she believes to be special for watching her own kids.
C. So many french parents are quick to send their kids off to grand-parents and/or summer camp. My french cousins were dumped at our grand-parents' house on the first vacation day and went to summer camp every single day. Went back home to their parents on the last vacation day. Even during rare family vacations they were sent to the kid's club, so their parents could get some "repos". Now as adults my cousins do the same with their own kids.
And Madame has stated that it's the plan to ship her kids to mamie et papi as soon as they can exist without their parents for a longer period of time. So maybe she feels so deeply entitled to child-free summers, that she sees herself like some kind of martyr while her offspring is still too young for french summer exile.
