Little Seany's a bit of a dark horse, isn't he?!Did not expect to see the manics pop up whilst scrolling through! Had a good read through this morning.
I discovered them around TIMT, I saw them a few years ago in Bath just before their Glasto gig and did wonder what had happened to Sean when he came out with tattoos and piercings that weren’t there when I saw them previously …
I ventured onto the boards sometimes but never really said anything, I find it hard to join in when people already know each other, if it you know what I mean, hence my very few comments on tattle![]()
I was at the Livingston Forum gig, too. It was the warm up gig for the Everything Must Go tour. JDB walked around the audience before it started, and hardly anyone recognised him. He walked past me and I did a double take, so he did the shush sign and winked at me.No idea how I came across this thread.
Seen the MSP 7 times, first time was in the mid-1990's at Livingston Forum, Scotland which was basically a high school gymnasium.
I was a fan club member for years & won a draw to see them play a small gig in King Tuts Wah Wah Hut, Glasgow.
One of the best live bands ever
Great stuff, seeing James up close there, they were just on the brink of really big success.I was at the Livingston Forum gig, too. It was the warm up gig for the Everything Must Go tour. JDB walked around the audience before it started, and hardly anyone recognised him. He walked past me and I did a double take, so he did the shush sign and winked at me.
Nicky's a beanpole with a deep interest in feather boa's & adidas gazelle trainers, James has a cuddly ruggedness, wouldn't like to rile him, Sean's a wee teddy bear, Richey was maybe the most handsome, sadly never got to see him though. RIPWhat do they look like in person?? Is Nicky as handsome as i imagine?!! Is James good looking in the flesh?? Tell meeeeee!![]()
James does have an amazing voice!James has one of my favourite singing voices ever.
I saw them live and it was fantastic, Nicky wore a feather boa and smashed his guitar up at the end.
Wow! What a performance! And the audience are loving it!
There was an incredible amount of complaints about James wearing a balaclava in that Top of The Pops appearance.Wow! What a performance! And the audience are loving it!
This thread has made me look over their back catalogue, what a band.
Just been listening to Roses In The Hospital, I’d forgotten how it’s almost funkyNever noticed the Bowie influence before (Sound And Vision).
I‘ll never forget the EMG era and when A Design For Life came out, it was such a triumph musically, but also in bravery and resilience through loss.
I love missing people and this one really sounds like he commited suicideAlways remembered
