Laura is a real mean girl. It’s weird because she seemed so genuine on the Bachelor and everyone was excited when she won but since then a lot of people have turned off her because she frequently targets other women. Like others have said it’s feminist of a very particular type. She is also very boring to listen to.

Honestly with the poor quality of advice given on the Hello Bump podcast, I imagine Jessie probably hasn’t got the greatest breastfeeding information. Breastfeeding education and support is so poor still in Australia.
That class talk was so odd. It made me wonder if she is trying to make her success sound more significant by making out that she came from the rough side of the tracks or something?
Her upbringing was pretty humble relative to the likes of the Freedman/Lavignes, but by broader standards she is very middle Australia.
The part of Sydney she is from is definitely no ghetto, it is very middle class and she went to a very middle class school.
If she went to the Watsons Bay Hotel and wasn’t wearing the “right” clothes I am guessing that she just didn’t go out much at all because the girls from Woolwich have always mixed with the private boys’ schools in that area which are exxy at around $45k per annum.

I struggled with having low milk supply (and not knowing!!!) with professionals saying to keep trying blah blah; until I had one nurse say it's ok to try formula as my supply may be low (it's almost like i needed a professional to give me permission and i was in a trance?)...... anyway, this was LIFE CHANGING. Baby thrived and my stress levels went down.

What a weirdo saying she was in labour for 62 hours!! I kind of give her some slack as a first time mum who doesn’t know the difference but surely her mum or Mia could educate her that she hasn’t had the world’s longest labour, but that most people don’t start counting then!

this takes TALENT to pull it off year after year
also, I will say that Mia did come up in a time when there were still plenty of people in print media who didn't go to university and trained through cadetships straight out of high school, or slogged it out from the mailroom upwards. So even though she got a privileged golden ticket with her internship at Cleo, her lack of degree wouldn't have been seen as a serious barrier.
