Anyone got a recommendation for a great mascara that doesn’t smudge under the eyes throughout the day? I’ve tried so many over the years but can’t find the “one”.

I wouldn’t really say so. I mean, you could, but I’d probably use the Hydra Vizor from Fenty Skin, tbh.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a really lovely foundation / buffing brush? I’ve used Real Techniques for yonks but recently got a couple of Mac eye brushes and now my RT brushes feel cheap. The other thing I’m on the lookout for is a low maintenance natural lip colour lipstick / gloss for every day wear.
Also has anyone used Chanel Tan de Soleil? I’ve heard holy grail things about it!

This is really interesting. Thanks for sharing. I only started using serum for the first time about six weeks ago. My acne prone skin wouldn't have hacked it in my younger day. I've been using one called Florence Bio Cosmesi with a jade facial roller. It was £12 and I like the texture, very lightweight, non-sticky and absorbs easily, but can't say I've noticed a jot of difference in the look or feel of my skin.

I've got a list of products I want to try, just want to make sure I'm not trying too much at once.

Question! Can anyone recommend a really good foundation brush?

I'm a big fan of the Bobbi Brown one. The real techniques one is fine if you don't want to spend as much but somehow not quite as good as BB

Girlsss, I’ve got myself into A Situation. I shaved my chin (I know). I’m very hairy and fair-skinned with dark hair and the at-home waxes weren’t cutting it during lockdown. How can I get past the stubbly stage again?!

Oh thanks, I'll check those out! I'm quite hairy too and I pluck any stubbly ones. I'd love laser but I don't think I can justify the cost unfortunately. Good luck xx

I have quite bad skin and usually need a full coverage foundation. I’ve found most look like cement though and sit in every scar/indent of the skin.. this makes me just as self conscious that everyone’s looking at my face as having none on does.

Could anyone recommend any foundations that cover acne/PIH well but doesn’t look really heavy?

Have you tried maybelline fit me matte and poreless. I bought this and the huda beauty faux filter at the same time and they are very similar in my opinion. If you haven’t tried the maybelline maybe give it a try as it’s cheap x

Does anyone have any light/medium coverage foundation recommendations? I used to use Mac studio fix but only using a CC cream these days, foundation feels very drying and heavy so looking for something a bit lighter. I've tried the Ordinary foundation which was fine for 6 quid but melted off way too fast.

I used to use a discontinued Kiehls BB cream and recently asked for suggestions for a CC/BB cream. I used this site to see what options had a similar content and have been trialling this Garnier BB cream [I have very oily skin, but so far so good!. I still use studio fix, but it feels, and looks, waaaaay heavier now than I ever thought before.

Also tried the Ordinary serum foundation and it was pish.

Oh also to reply to this - the weleda skin food is meant to be very very similar to this! I’ve seen a lot of people say it!

Charlotte Tilbury contour wand and the blush wand are two of my holy grails. Pinkgasm is just divine on my skin.

I found a dupe by Revolution Pro for nars radiant creamy concealer, i’ll find a picture tomorrow but it’s basically the same!

I've tried 2 Fenty products this week for the first time and I'm super impressed! The Eaze drop skin tint really does do what it says - blurs and evens skin tone. I've worn it twice now and it looks like I have no make up on but very that I have good skin - this is amazing for me as my skin recently has been red and blotchy and I have freckles so this just evens it all out and makes me look natural and healthy. I've used it with the Bright Fix under eye concealer which is super light and doesn't cake under my eyes.

@justheretoread99 have you tried copper charge and walk of no shame? if so what do you think of them?

I haven’t I’m afraid I’ve blue eyes so think The Walk of No Shame would look a bit off on me but LOVE the look of Copper Charge.
I’ve got Dolce Vita (which looks exact to Bella Sofia) & The Rebel. -Can’t fault either! Super pigmented, especially the shimmer shades.

Mine didn’t come with a brush so i’m not sure what brush you mean sorry? I just put one/two dots on each side and I use a slanted/contour brush - i think it’s a morphe one, and i brush up upwards and tap it in, I find it blends really well as a creamy/liquid consistency. I’ll take a pic of the brush I use shortly xx

It was a brush that came with it, i think it was a part of a special offer. It is double ended, and a slanted/stippling style brush.
but i think i was putting too much product on, i was literally drawing it out- you know the lines and everything? So yesterday i put two small dots on and it blended so much better, so thank you But the foundation i used was the Loreal True Match serum with the added hyaluronic acid so its quite light weight. I will have to see how it blends out with my Double Wear foundation.

Btw have you used the CT airbrush flawless foundation? I absolutely fucking HATED that shit!!! Honestly, it was the worst foundation i have ever used and i used it with the CT magic cream, the flawless filter, and the CT pressed powder (so i used all CT products that should all compliment and work well together) and it looked awful. It separated, was far too thick and cakey, and generally reminded me of a really shit cheap foundation. Also, the flawless filter is a nice product but jesus christ the way youtubers were banging on about it, i expected it to change my life!!! Its nice but not exactly life changing.

Sculpted by Aimee double ended brushes are fab!! Esp for convenience if going away for weekends need to bring very few. Also the peaches and cream brushes the above user has mentioned are really good too they do good brush bundles!!! Wash very well also.

What kind of complexion do you have? Charlotte tilbury bitch perfect is gorgeous it’s a pinky nude. Penelope pink is lovely too it’s more nude, no pink tones. They are really easy to put on, not matte so more forgiving can get away with putting them on without a mirror if needed
