Completely agree with everything you both said Apple and Sara, no case has been like this one before or since. I have a gut feeling Mrs fenn May have been threatened or paid off to change her story. I could be wrong and it could be complete lies, but I wouldn’t trust the McCanns if they told me the sky was blue.
Gerry definitely said he was a Freemason too. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but he changed his story a lot, ‘confusion is good’ are the words he used.

The police were concerned the twins were drugged as they didn’t wake, but kate and Gerry refused for them to be tested or checked over until months later implying they knew they were drugged and when it would leave their system. They let the twins back in the care of the club staff the next day, would you risk that not knowing if one of them was the abductor? I wouldn’t trust anyone, not my friends we were with or even potentially each other in that moment. If I were the twins now I’d be very suspicious of my parents and I’d question why they put me at risk too. They must deep down have some suspicions themselves by now, or maybe even remember something that would solve the case.

A neighbour spoke out shocked that they had an older daughter as they thought the twins were their only children. Why had they never seen Maddie with her parents? No comments from friends or nursery staff saying what a lovely girl she is and they miss her etc as you see with many cases. If they went to the trouble to ban this, why?

Has anyone seen the photo of Kate in a hammock with a young Maddie and a little boy? They look very similar. I believe someone found out his name but there was no mention of who he was and why he was with the McCanns, leading people to think she was a twin or there was a secret child before her, but that goes down the conspiracy theory route. Some people thought Gerry wasn’t the biological father or they’d used a surrogate, refusing to show medical records makes you wonder what they wanted to hide and how these rumours even came about.

2 of the men from the group went out to sea on a catamaran and one of them accidentally fell in, supposedly. Some clothes were found washed up along the beach. Imo they were testing if and where something would wash up. Perhaps dumping evidence. The question is why they mentioned this as it could have implicated them.

The cats file is a big clue something wasn’t right with Gerry. You don’t just have a folder, if one exists there is a reason and the fact is was empty means someone purposely deleted whatever was in it, there’s no alternative. It was long before the fairytale abduction too. They can be opened for many reasons, domestic violence for example. David Payne was recognised by a social worker and she knew something wasn’t right when she found out he was part of the group, her concern for the children was noticed.

Have they ever publicly answered the people who wanted to know what is in the urn that appeared on their mantlepiece in the documentary? I know it was believed to be a money pot, but it’s a strange thing to place centre stage in a shrine for your missing daughter.

As for the debate over why they wouldn’t come clean if their daughter had died accidentally or otherwise, I’m assuming they couldn’t allow an autopsy for whatever reason. Perhaps it would uncover abuse. Possibly being blackmailed if someone with power was involved. If Maddie was an unwell child as some believed, they could have been self diagnosing and medicating, not necessarily drugging her to sleep although that’s the most likely cause.

Think back to Gerry and David’s vile talk about the little girls in the group. Kate’s description of her child’s genitals. The men bathing all the children. They became friends with Clement frued. This was no normal holiday imo, they weren’t there to enjoy themselves remember. ‘It was our holiday too’ said Kate. The sad photo of Maddie in make up makes me think it was sinister. She was getting to an age where she could tell an adult about something going on at home. They couldn’t risk that. I honestly think whatever happened on that holiday it was something awful either planned on purpose or something went wrong and a terrible accident occurred. I don’t think kate got her chance to say goodbye, ‘they’ve taken her’ seemed to me like the plan had changed without her knowledge. Maddie was likely transported back into the U.K. or another country long before she was even reported missing imo. They were safe in the knowledge she’d never be found, their only concern was hiding the evidence and making the world believe them and now that stress shows in Kate’s face. The only believable emotion I’ve seen from Kate is when she fondly remembered a moment with Maddie trying on her ring. If she didn’t spend much time with her I doubt she had many memories to hold onto, and facts aside as a mother myself that would be heartbreaking.

You’re right there are evil people in the world that harm children on purpose, just look at the news. If it wasn’t the parents how are any of these points possible? There wouldn’t have been blood in the apartment and it wouldn’t have been washed away, they wouldn’t have needed to set their story straight with a timeline as they’d have no story to magic up, they wouldn’t have insisted on an abduction as Maddie could have gone outside looking for her parents and shown up 5 minutes later, there would have been dna everywhere, the dogs wouldn’t have alerted to anything, they would have answered all the questions and shown true fear at what had happened to their daughter, they wouldn’t have played tennis or had their hair done or laughed in fear their child was being abused, calling sky to report her missing would have been the last thing on their minds, deleting call logs and photos no chance it’ll be helpful to track a possible stalker with those, the twins wouldn’t leave my sight, I’d speed to every sighting myself if I had to, people doubting my story would be ignored as I’d have nothing to hide and I’d happily take a lie detector test which they refused, you get my drift that all the factual evidence only happened because they let it which innocent people wouldn’t even think of in that moment.

I’d love to be proven wrong and if they have genuine strong evidence against this man and he hasn’t been set up I hope it brings closure, but with all the evidence against the McCanns I find it highly unlikely for them to get so much coincidental bad luck that circumstances put them in the frame time and time again.

This is very weird! This is what that ‘suspect’ says and in the documentary the private investigator got lead to a pig farm... but couldn’t kick the door open as he wasn’t police and didn’t have access etc. Now, look at this file ‘pigs also eat human flesh’

I really don’t know what to believe about all that has happened with this. Whether I believe the parents had something to do with it or not.

But it seems very ‘convenient’ that after all this time that the perpetrator is suddenly found right now, with all the crazy going on in the world, it won’t be as bigger headline news. ‘Conveniently’ it also happens to be someone already in prison.

Am I allowed to post this?
"Cant say why he knows" 🙄 well, they're gonna have to spill the beans soon. Cant prosecute someone by saying "I know how you did it but...it's a secret 🤫"
All these reports and absolutely nothing to back it up. I completely understand they might have to protect some info but, in that case, stop saying ANYTHING. Get on with your jobs, put the slam dunk case together and charge him with it. Stop having your little sources scuttling off to gutter press.

(Sorry Tigger, I went off on a rant in a reply to your post, when it's not a direct reply to your post 😄)

Yes honestly I think when you realise that there was cadaver in the hire car and on Kate’s clothes and (I think) near the McCanns wardrobe it is pretty damning imo. The evidence against that is, supposedly:
- Seabass and Sean’s dirty nappies in the boot of the hire car - seabass gives off a cadaver type odour, gerry made a point of saying that Sean had gone mad for seabass in PDL in one of his blogs
- Kate had come into contact with dead bodies during her time as a GP and the clothes she wore which were alerted to, were her work clothes.

which I think are flimsy excuses

I heard that the eye defect wasn’t an actual Coloboma. When I was digging around a lot of posters I came across on various forums made the claim that had Madeleine had this defect she would have had some form of disability, intellectually. We have seen so little of her, and she is so young, that it’s hard to know, but I don’t get the idea from the minimal footage I’ve seen that she has an intellectual disability. I looked at the coloboma in more detail, and when you go on Wikipedia (not the most truthful of sources, but it’s there!) it actually says that Madeleine doesn’t have a coloboma - she has a freckle just behind the eye. So for all they know, as she grows this freckle could move or alter in size. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I also find it weird that Gerry used the term ‘ploy’ there. I mean I don’t claim to be a statement analyst but I write a lot for my own pleasure, and ploy isn’t the term I’d use if i was talking about something that might help find my daughter. Ploy, to me, suggests villainy, ulterior motives - as though the emphasis of the eye is a diversion from something, covering something up. Why not just say ‘idea’? “In marketing terms, it was a good idea, it makes her distinctive - this means she’s more likely to be found.”
(Although I would worry that the abductor would hurt or damage her eyes in an attempt to not be found...)

People are allowed to speculate and share their ideas on what they think happened. A lot of it isn’t without reason. It’s just people’s opinions at the end of the day.

It would appear the German police have a credible suspect and I can't help feeling some of you are terribly disappointed. Even if he is tried and convicted you won't give up your conspiracy theories, will you?

NO parents are perfect, and I expect with hindsight they would do things differently.

As someone who lost their son six months after the McCanns lost Maddie, I know a little bit of what they went and are, going through. Have a heart.

The Mccanns saying they 'wondered if the twins had been given a sedative' makes me think maybe they gave them the sedative and said that to try and imply it wasn't them. Like setting the seed. Just a theory ...

ETA just reread the above comment and you said the exact same thing 🤣 Can't read today

I sway from believing one thing to another!! You guys are all too convincing in the questions you raise and the theories you hold and I start to believe them all but they’re all so different?!

I wonder what the twins will do when they reach adulthood. Will they speak out? Will they campaign alongside mum and dad? Will they write books?

It wont go anywhere with this German suspect, theres loads of sex offenders and paedophiles in every locality. Just because he was around that area doesn't mean to say it was him and to get a conviction you have to have a high standard of proof. You have to prove beyond any reasonable doubt. Also he will not admit to doing it even if he has.
I think the McCanns know more than they are letting on.They have behaved really strangely from the start. Who would leave their kids alone in a foreign country? I don't know anyone who would do this. Also who would have a game of tennis the day after Maddie went missing? Its just unbelievable really. I'm not being awful but I think they are really dreadful people.

My OPINION is there trying to pin it on someone as there's no way there getting any more funding and to close the case would cause a lot more attention against the police etc. If they make this guy found guilty I do hope that her parents face negligence charges but pigs never fly. Unless on the way to Portugal

Imagine having to live with that secret. It would do a number on your mental health...i don't think they're covering it up. I am sure one would have cracked by now.
But imagining not doing everything you could to find your daughter? Hypothetically if they didn’t know Maddie was dead then why didn’t Kate answer every single question she could? Why did they both refuse to do the reconstruction in Portugal? Why did they use the money from Madeleine’s Fund: Leaving No Stone Unturned to make two mortgage payments instead of using it to help find her in October 2007, the year she went missing? If their daughter was genuinely missing why wouldn’t they do every single thing in their power to help find her? Not to mention the fact that all their timelines are odd and contradictory, they never used the hired nanny service, they’ve changed their original statements a few times, they were the last ones to see Maddie alive, the deep cleaned apartment, the scent of blood behind the couch smelt by professional sniffer dogs, Kate leaving the twins in the apartment after realising Madeleine had been taken? I know you made a point that the whole tapas 7 aren’t in on it, but for anyway swaying on the side that it wasn’t the parents, which points do you logically discredit the few that I just made?

Also, in relations to their mental health, they can afford any private therapist or mental health service they like. Not to mention the fact that they already seem quite emotionally detached and desensitised from what happened to Maddie, using the verb ‘was’ in referring to her, and only ever giving well thought out answers to any questions? It’s almost like she died in the apartment and they got their chance to say goodbye to their daughter imo, they’re at peace with what happened, a terrible accident

I may just be adding fuel to the fire here, but I went to uni with a guy who’s parents were both doctors and he was very open about the fact that his parents used to medicate him and his baby sister in long haul flights to make it easier travel. This was the 90s but from what he was saying, it was pretty common practice around health care professionals at the time.

There’s a lot to read through here so sorry if someone has already mentioned but I’ve read all of the case documents which includes statements from witnesses and suspects it’s all available online just google it. I’ve never been able to X out the parents even after watching the Netflix documentary and seeing that woman (KM) looking so broken, something just doesn’t sit right. And of all the precious children that are missing in this world why has this case garnered the most attention and funding?

If anyone has any links to good documentaries or readings please send them my way x
Richard D Hall. His most well known one is the statement analysis with peter hyatt. But his first one was "Buried by mainstream media", then "When Madeline died" ( which really changed my perspective of when things might have happened), "The Phantoms" (detailed look at "suspects" and sightings) and "Why the coverup". He is very, very thorough with his research and backs it all up. Hes not the best presenter in the world, you have to stick with him. But if you want the facts without the fuss, they're there. He has went over every single statement, noted every inconsistency from witnesses statements to creche logs etc and looked into the background of lots of the "main players".

Wish there was a snooze button reaction on here 😂😴😴😴
Ironic that you keep banging on about people not bringing any evidence to the table for their opinion and how it’s ruining the thread and yet all you do is post the same pointless shite. This isn’t a one theory thread, make another one if you don’t want to hear any opinions except the ones exactly like your own 🤷‍♀️
You constantly shutting down other posters with “boring” “snooze” or emojis is ruining the thread imo.

That’s interesting to know. I guess maternal instinct to protect/ help your offspring is so powerful it overrides every other behaviour/ thoughts.
I think so. With my mum the best thing about the story is she ran out without saying a word starting running up a hill in flip flops, paused for breath and my dad drove past her in the car and ended up with my brother first 😂😂 he always says she didn't act rationally as it would be quicker to drive but she said she just had to get to her baby.
