Yay, another member of the Ali fan club to join usIve been in the background of this forum for a few weeks now, reading, agreeing and laughing, so thank you for the entertainment. I like most of you on here followed Lydia on YouTube watching and listening thinking she was at the front of it all (fashion, make up etc) but about ten months ago around Christmas time she was constantly pushing, and plugging so many items it really was like watching a constant stream of adverts. As a result i very quickly lost respect for what she was telling/selling us and unsubscribed and stopped watching her. That was until i fell upon this site and I started to watch her again (but only to keep up to date with everything everyone is talking about). She has not changed one bit.
I watched some of Ali’s videos today for the first time and i must say he comes across as someone who was much more relatable to his audience. Gardening with his grandad, and talking about problems with the house like the “downstairs toilet” (NOT “powder room”, god that annoys me) light issue and problems with the house water pump. Because life is not perfect and things go wrong. Unfortunately, though Lydia tries so hard to hide all the problems in her life and portray it to be perfect!! Trying to sell a lifestyle like this is not real and a lot of us have seen through it. In fact most of us like to see it when celebs (i use that term loosely) have problems just like us. That’s what makes them “relatable” and encourages us to want to watch more.
So Lydia if you do read this please, please start listening to the constructive criticism coming from your audience and stop blocking their comments. A lot of these people know what they’re talking about. See it as “free” (you like things that are free) advice.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it her "job" to influence people on what to buy and where to buy them. But so far I have only seen her asking her followers where she can buy so and so and then begging the company of choice and getting freebie from them. Then she has the audacity to make ig posts and yt videos where she can promote that stuff using her affiliate lynx and get money from her followers for a product which they had introduced to her. I think her teeth are shifting as she ages. That’s actually normal, but because Ali was such an amazing video and photo editor, we never really noticed back in 2015/16/17. I always though that her teeth were very straight with a short tooth on the lower left. I now realize that they’re all actually quite uneven, but it’s usually not noticeable at all. It’s why her fat mouth is closed in most photos, to hide her not perfectly white or straight teeth! It still is crazy how some people have neglected their teeth so much, it’s truly one of the first things you notice about a person..I think her teeth are shifting as she ages. A lot of the fashion houses are focusing on asia particularly China, who make up around 1/3 of luxury purchases, which was why when D&G was caught saying rasict thing they apologised immediately. And now some brands have collections tailored exclusively for the chinese/asian market (lunar new year collections).Do you ladies think that maybe these luxury brands are actually struggling at the moment? I just can't help but think about the UK economy at the moment and overall spending habits. Even fast fashion brands like Forever 21 has failed and maybe these luxury brands feel like they have no choice but have these low level influencers to promote their products. I think maybe Dior is struggling too and all these other brands like Jimmy Choo are rebranding. I feel like these luxe brands have no other choice.
